Dude, seriously. I know it's a pavement car that's why I said they are simpler and the similar as a SLM in the front.

I was talking asphalt mod. I think it would be a good class around here. As for the current mod class. What is the body rules even for really why not have all the drivers get together and come up with some new rules that people like and look cool. Bodies are cheap to make and for the most part dont make a darn bit of difference in handling as long as the front tires are hanging out. Go with 14" of rake and 2' sideboards and the biggest flattest ugliest roof you can come up with and go race it. Us drivers can change the cars if we want we just tell the tracks these are our new mod rules! If we all agree on the new body rule the tracks will still run them!

SK Modifieds would be sweet at a track like Spartan, Springport or a track who is trying to start up something different. You just gotta get the ducks your ducks in a row. Fins someone who would be willing to be a vendor and talk to teams about it and just see where it could go.

Kevin, I know I'm a little confused about what's going on here cause half of the guys are talking about dirtcar modifieds which are really Rowdy Sprintcar type things, half of them are talking about NASCAR mods which I think are like asphalt supers... IF you want to do this just have a tire rule, that you can have only 4 of them, whatever you want and that the front ones can't have fenders over thm.. If you want to go East and pick up a Troyer do it If you want to pull the front fenders off your Rocket or even your pro stock, do it. If you want to stuff a camaro clip under your Mini Stock and put some leafs and a quick change in back and a big block in front, do it (long as it's safe). They already run sideboard mod shows a few times a year though.... Full blown East coast mods dirt or asphalt though, I don't know if that would be so effective cost or otherwise cause if it didn't fly you'd have one heck of a time getting rid of your unusable equipment.

Remember Open Modified at Dealers Choice? that was the most Awesome thing ever, Butler and Bryan cars and all manner of whatever else in the world.

I remember the open mods well.. I also remember the Thunder Mods.. and Before IMCA came to the area we had mods running at the fairgrounds in Ionia that used the Dealers choice rules. Playter's had one. a few came up from Butler/Bryan and even Pete Senneker had one with the radiator in the door, and this was early 80's. Long before Ron and Roger moved back out to Clark's and long before IMCA.. I'd love to see the Thunder Mods come back and run a series like the old Carling's day.
