The final race of the Triple Crown Series will be this Saturday, August 21st at 1:00 PM EST. The pit gates open at 10:00 AM EST. Drivers and pit crew will not have to pay the fair gate admission. Pit passes are $10 per person and $10 per race vehicle unless preregistered which saves $5.00. The UP State Fair started yesterday and runs through Sunday, 8-22-10. This is the first year the fair is being operated by the Upper Peninsula Fair Board Authority which oversees the Delta County owned fairgrounds. All grandstand shows (including racing and Demo Derby) are free with a paid fair gate admission. The Tuff Trucks will not be running due to time constraints, but Micro Sprints & Small Cars are sure to put on a great racing show. The number of racers continues to increase. Plans are being made for a race on September 18th. Details will be forthcoming. Camping will not be available on the fairgrounds during fair week. Plan to arrive early as the grandstand has been filled to capacity for the previous two races. Concessions will be available in pits. Contact Boyd Widdis with questions at 906-450-5112. Check out UPIR on Facebook and www.upirracing.blogspot.com. Entry forms are available online at www.deltami.org. which is the Delta County Chamber of Commerce website which includes lodging and campground information. Hope to see you there. Thanks for your past support. Attendance and race participation has exceeded expectations.
