I don't see how Dirt Late Model experience will help these drivers at all other than time on a changing dirt track. Will they be allowed or required to run without a front sway bar? They'd adapt better if they'd had time in a dirt street stock with much less rear steer. I know its a gimmick but I hope its worth watching.

Practice on TV reminded me of Street Stocks. I'm not sure if NASCAR and Tony and Roger Slack are geniuses or completely insane for doing this. Some of the drivers and crew chiefs my god I feel bad for them. ESPECIALLY the ones running in a points battle. There's a dozen guys that are flat out ringers (even some of the regulars).
I don't think they are ever gonna do this again, If I was a Truck owner I'd be furious. Makin me tear up my equipment in a gimmick POINTS race.... BUT watching these guys work to get better and just flat out thinking... It was quite entertaining. That piece that Speed did with The King talking about dirt racing.... That there was worth turning on my TV.

Well UMMM that was incredibly awesome........ Not like 1st trip to the Big E awesome BUT.... It's the worlds greatest race track for a reason. Austin Dillon/ Ryan Newman and of course THE show Kyle Larson...... I think we just watched NASCAR hit the snooze button.

Enough passing for a truck race? Larson did put on a show, in a way I wouuld have expected the dirt guys like Ryan Newman and Blaney do better, but sprint cars are so different I understand whay they didn't dominate like I thought they might. Plus the sprint car races are shorter so the track doesn't change as much.

I haven't watched a truck race in a long time so I don't know if that race was as good as the races they usually have or not. I mean I don't think that IF NASCAR does this next year it could be nearly as amazing as last nights race was because it wouldn't be new anymore. Maybe just leave it in the history books. It was one really awesome and historic night. I think it should remain that way. One night. like you guys always tell me, dirt is for farmin' right?

For the record, a dirt guy did win. Austin Dillon has had fast time for the World 100 before. Really impressed by Austin.
