I think for all the complaining there is about SLM racing in Michigan, there ought to be better crowds at these shows. Tonight there is a 100 Lap race at Toledo Speedway. I will be making the drive to see that show. I have yet to be there for a race this season, but looking at speednetdirect.com. They are getting great car counts. I was at the Klash, that was one of the better races I have seen this year(Dont like the inversion at the break though). And if you include the Jones @ M-40. LM racing will come back on pavement. The racing is fantastic. Anyone know what it cost to get in at Toledo tonight?

I'm doing this by memory. We had 22 cars (or 21) start the feature. We were missing Freddie Campbell and Johnny Belott... have no idea where they were (maybe had trouble at the Klash).

Here's the finish, as much as I can do from memory.

Johnny VanDorne (think I spelled that wrong)
Harold Fair Sr
Harold Fair Jr
Scott Hantz
Steve Sauve
Dave Kuhlman
Jack Landis

Anyways, those were the lead lap cars

Eric Lee was next, then someone and then Dr Bob

Was wondering if the 18 Gentry car was there and who might have driven it

From what I hear Mr. Gentery is not planning on running anymore. Personally I don't think it would be the same seeing someone else in the green and white 18.

I agree...seeing someone else drive the car this year would be awkward....with time it will be ok, maybe next year have someone drive the car in honor of Lee...but I don't expect to see that car again anytime soon.

Nope the 18 was Billy Leslie. Don't know if his dad, uncle or Caroll (for the life of me can't remember the fellow's first name) owns it. Remember last year we had the 2 #18s... this is the other one.

Thanks... I hate that when my mind blanks like that.... Car numbers and drivers I don't forget but crews and owners, some of those I forget.

Anyone know who owns Jay Sommers' car?

In 2005 it was:
Tech Induction
Francis Engineering Racing Engines (http://www.whowon.com/Results.asp?TrackID=1788&StoryID=156083)

Not sure if the relationships continued, Tech Induction was still on the car at Toledo last year.
