yup, i made it home just fine, i guess the cop wanted a closer look at a one of a kind racing cadillac.

just kidding, i had a taillight go out on the trailer on the way home, he just wanted to let me know.

thanks again, to all the spartan folks for giving us a chance to come down and have fun on someone elses home turf. i had a blast even though i finished poorly, i had a flat that took out my chances of finishing up front. as always the employees really do an awesome job at spartan. thank you all very much. hope to see you at the next invitational.

for what its worth, when im on the track, i dont drive anyone any differently based on whether they are locals, or outsiders... i try to run as hard as i can, while being as clean as i can... i heard one of the locals drivers saying some rather harsh comments about us autocity guys in the pay line. anytime you have that big of a spread in speed between the fast guys to the slow guys, youre going to have a mess with a full invert... but the fans love it! its all in fun, lets keep it that way...

Well said Nick. I also want to thank Spartan for having us over, I had a blast watching Tater run my car. Congrates on the new track record Chris. Officials did an awesome job but to bad the security cops had to work so hard after the race.
Too bad a couple of bad apples decided to wreck the M cars instead of just beating us fair and square.
#103, what where you thinking tring to run my driver into the infield on the last lap. You had a fast car, just run your line, take what the race will give and go home with a car in 1 piece. He was all the way up to your door on the inside in turn 4, you had a fast car and could have finished second with a good run off the corner. but no you decide to turn left into the side of the M1??????
Now the #13 car. awesome job showing every M car on the track the turn 4 wall. I am sure the Spartan fans don't enjoy follow the leader racing. If there is a car on your outside or inside give them room to race. If your fast they will not get by, if your not that's called a pass. I am sure it's getting old having the same few cars win the invites but wrecking us is not the answer. Come by our pits, say hi, check out our cars, hell we are always ready to give out advice. Some times too much (Lonnie icon_mrgreen.gif ) Not that we are all that, it's just that we have had this class longer than Spartan.
Hopefully the track will review the tape.

I don't think there is any need to review anything. We all saw the same thing you guys did, and I couldn't agree with you's anymore.

I would like to apologize to any of you that traveled over and put on a GREAT show, and got verbally abused by another drivers that evidently doesn't know his a-hole from his elbow!!! That is NOT how the masses of Spartan Speedway feel, fans OR officials. I haven't talked to ONE person that calls Spartan home, that doesn't just LOVE to see all you guys pull in. Streets, Pure's, or Pony's. Your there to WIN, of course. Who isn't??? But to me, it is embarrassing to hear that someone acted so childish in that situation. Our officials will not tolerate such actions. And if I heard correctly at the end of the evening, certain parties were asked NOT to come back to the track for the rest of the year, and that is someone that called Spartan home for the last few years. So please guys, don't think for a minute that our fans, officials, and most other drivers, don't love to see NEW drivers, and competition at our track, because we do!!!! It is the spirit on which this sport was built. Competition!!! And to travel to take on others, that is where it all becomes so much fun.

Joe isn't getting old at all, we're really just getting used to it, and liking it a lot!!!!

Nick, your right also, it should NOT matter one bit WHO your racing against. Every driver should treat the others equal.

It really seems as though these Sunday races have become quite the competitive event. Jimmy Stratton looked like he was having fun out there too. I just hope all you guys, and that includes the Springport and Owosso guys too, can come over and have some fun, and enjoy some different competition.

I also want to throw in real quick that I think it is worth mentioning that Jim Leasure needs to be commended, and applauded for his selfless act last night and kept the show going when most would have pulled the plug. He had a perfect opportunity to call the night when it rained, looked as though the track would never dry, had enough events in to call it a full program and NOT have to pay out the full big purse, and NOT HAVE to issue any rain checks. Most officials felt it was hopeless and suggested that we should pull the plug. BUT instead of avoiding a financial spanking and pulling the plug, Jim percervired, and kept trying to dry the track, and took the FULL loss (grandstands weren't very good), and payed the FULL purse.

He did NOT have to, and did anyways. Race fans and drivers should also applaud his efforts. The way the weather looked all day yesterday, and yet we got in the FULL show. And here's the best part, ONE MINUTE after the checkered flag fell on the final feature race, it started raining for real. Someone is watching over us!!!

Can't wait till the Harvest!!!!

I thought it was a good night at Spartan. The Feature was a little rougher than usually but all and all a good night with the exception of a few people.

Well, first and fore most, I would like to thank the Spartan Speedway for hosting the Short Track Trucks 50th Feature event! And appologize for getting a little loud in the tower wink.gif

I had a BLAST!!! It felt good to get out there and turn laps, minimal issues, and just have a great race. Had some really awesome racing with #16 Doug Vandervliet... we swapped positions a half dozen times during the 50 laps.... I started last, hoping to get the hard charger award, and I think I got it, finished 10th (I think)... still waiting for the official results. Man that was a riot! Cant wait till springport to be back with the "IN" crowd.
