Wood,

Will you guy's be renting the track for this event?

The, Governor / Dan Logan
suel
is their "normal purse" the new cut in pay purse or their old cut in pay purse?
Wood
Dan
Yes the ASA Late Model Series is renting both the Dixie Motor Speedway and the Owosso Speedway for the entire weekend and will be in charge of all aspects of the entire weekend.

suel
The purse listed is the one that will be used for the event on August 18, 2007.
suel
the way i understand it is asa is leasing the track, so it should be a promised show all around. i just hope that they get the word out so the people will come back for it. i went by the track last saturday about 9 and it looked sad as far as the parking lot looked for people
suel
wood,
you must be on cable, me and my slow dial up, thanks!

Im sorry but if I read this correctly...it sounds like it is asa cars...uspro cars, and regular late models as well??? Is that an all night event??? Can I bring my late model which DOES NOT have a crate motor???
KCR87
Where are the USPRO cars coming from? I guess I just dont get it. If they were USPRO legal, why arent they running the ASA show. Is it just the rest of the template guys that dont meet the ASALM requirments (ex: Dixie Outlaw Motored/Template Bodied cars)?
FlipperF17
its a shame its not an invite setup...
welchjr74
wood,
my dad says to find someone who wants to see their car in victory lane for the asa race and have them give him a call. haha.
Wood
Let's see if we can answer all of these questions:

Kyle Maki: You're welcome to come out and race in the Owosso Late Models division. Would like to finally meet you, so would my wife! icon_mrgreen.gif

Kyle Callahan: The USPRO Cup Series cars are for any Super Pro, MAARA, Auto City Super Stock, etc., etc., that would like to partake in a sneak preview of what's in store for next seasons return of the USPRO Cup Series.

It'll be a 50-lap Feature paying $1,200 to win and $300 to start. If those drivers would like to run in the ASALMS Northern Division portion of the show, they're more than welcome too provided they bring another car that falls under ASALMS rules.

Kyle Trinklein: With as much purse that's going out for this event, a Regular Show for the Owosso divisions was the fairest way to ensure that those drivers would be able to take part in the festivities in some way, shape, or form.

Mark Welch Jr.: Tell you Dad he knows what he has to do to convert over and come over to the "Dark Side"! it's ALOT more economical than what he's doing now!

The ASA Late Model Series has been asked about Pit Pass prices. Here they are and these apply to both the Dixie and Owosso events. In addition, the $2.00 coupon that is available on line and on the Promotional Fliers does NOT include pit passes.

Dixie and Owosso Single Day Pit Passes:
ASALMS Members: $25.00
Non Members: $30.00

In addition, Two day Pit Bands are available for the following prices:
ASALMS Members: $50.00
Non-Members: $60.00

These are non-refundable and non-replaceable.
Plus you must keep your band on all weekend!

Finally both events are being Promoted by the ASA Late Model Series as the series is leasing both tracks for the entire weekend.

ASALMS Procedures will be in place, however Dixie and Owosso Payoffs and Rules will apply for the Regular Weekly Divisions that are scheduled.

Dixie: Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Bombers, and Figure 8s.
Owosso: Late Models, Modifieds, and Street Stocks.

Yes that is correct. The Owosso Divisions will all be getting pit slabs! (Car Count Permitting) It may not be the same ones they're used too, but nevertheless, they will all get slabs to park on.

Matt, you wouldnt screw an old Central grad from his #52 slab would you?
Wood
Ryan
We're reserving the first 50 slabs to start with for the ASA Late Model Series Northern Division and USPRO Cup Series, depending on car count, we may need more.

Like I said to Matt, the Owosso Divisions will all be getting pit slabs, but it may not be the same ones they're used too, but nevertheless, they will all get slabs to park on. I promise you that.

Did you get a Modified or a Late Model recently? Or even a Street Stock?
Pure Stocks and Mini Stocks are off on August 18 as well as all the dirt stuff.
