Are You Ready
For Some Truck Racing?
August 25th is the final night of our Championship racing season with 3 more non-points events following in September. On the night of the 25th, the ShortTrackTrucks.com Challenge Series will be making its way to Springport Motor Speedway for their second visit in 2007. It was an exciting event on June 30th as 20 trucks rolled out onto the speedway for their 50 lap event. They put on a great display of truck racing for the fans and this next one is sure to be just as good.
It's a big night of racing. In addition to the truck series, the VROA Vintage Modifieds will be back for their sixth visit. And to top it all off, it will be Championship night for our own Pony Stock, Pure Stock, and Sportsman drivers. Don't miss out on 5 great feature events along with an autograph session on the front stretch during intermission.

As an added bonus, get ready for the first ever "East-West Shootout". With about half of the drivers coming from the west and the other half coming from the east, they will be accumulating points throughout the night to determine which side is the toughest.
The drivers will be grouped specifically in their heat races to get a somewhat equal east-west battle. Points will be earned by both sides in qualifying and the heat races and will culminate with the feature event.
Springport Motor Speedway is neutral territory with no better place to do battle. The racing itself will be good, but a battle is always better!

2007 Congressional Challenge
It's Democrats and Republicans going toe-to-toe, or should we say "bumper-to-bumper" to benefit Community Inclusive Recreation.
This Saturday Night August 25th, The Bob Frahm Community Racing Challenge returns to Springport Motor Speedway, presenting the 2007 Congressional Challenge.
Michigan State Senator Mark Schauer, State Representative Mike Simpson, State Representative Rick Jones and State Representative Mike Noffs will be donning the drivers gear and taking to the high banks of Springport Motor Speedway in a 10 lap sprint to prove who the fastest legislator is. The Bob Frahm CRC Congressional Challenge race will kick off at 7:30pm at Springport Motor Speedway.

Points will be earned by both sides in qualifying and the heat races and will finish off with a special bicycle relay race on the front stretch with selected pit crew members from each team. The brand new bicycles being used for the relay race will be given away to two lucky recipients in the main grandstand.
Then with one final east-west battle, during the feature drivers Kyle Trinklein and John Culp will start at the back of the field no matter how they qualify. They will then drive their way through the field in a special "Hard Charger Grudge Match". The driver finishing the highest wins the grudge match for their respective east or west team.
