A lot of us here listen to/play/enjoy music. I've seen this done on other message boards, so I thought I'd try it here. In this thread post the song your listening to, and who it is by, it might be a fun way to see the wide range of music listened to by us MSTRC folk.

What I'm listening to now doesn't count...My taste doesn't fit with the work environment.
Almost anything EXCEPT COUNTRY.
I grew up listening to 80's thrash-type metal...Mostly the underground stuff. I graduated in 1990.
I've widened my selections quite a bit since then... but Slayer, Slipknot, Korn, Soulfly, Coal Chamber, and that type of stuff is still right up there on the top of my list. There's too many to list.
I like Rush, Triumph, Supertramp, Tom Petty, stuff like that when I'm feeling it.
I can listen to some symphony as long as there's no singing and I'm not into piano music (my mom is a piano teacher and I really got tired of it at a young age...lol.)
I dabble with my 7-string guitar and 5-string bass, but I don't learn other people's music. I prefer to come up with my own stuff...that way I never hit a wrong note...lol.

Almost anything Evanescence, I'm with Big Ed on Finger 11 - Paralyzer. As for my personal taste, well there is Disturbed. 10,000 fists stayed in my Cd player for a while in fact my buddy Dane Long and I went to the concert not to long ago. There is always Daughtry, I know I'll admit I watched American Idol, and I voted! Nothing wrong with it. Stay tuned more to come...
Schinde,

Depends what shuffles on the MP3 player. I have everything from the Stone's Wild Horse to groups no one has heard of. But I'd say most of it is country or alternative. Right now it's Gina Villabobos' Somebody Saved me. The next one is Straylight Run and after that is Grace Potter's Ah Mary. Then comes Allison Krause and some other country songs
