53 speeder I read your posts about the CRA races you run in. I read the Salem Speedway rules for SS and the current car raced at Whittemore Speedway is not legal their are those the rules used for these races you post about.

The Winchester race [this weekend]runs under CRA rules and the Whittemore cars are legal,with a small wt for allum. body parts.[50lb] Can find rules at CRA Super Series click rules then Street Stock rules.

The Salem race uses differnt rules for the 200 lap races.
The Salem race you must use all cast iorn Intake,exhaust,stock samped rockers,any carb without rear meatering block,no double pumper or duel-line. Auto trans requred.

Gearing--4.10-4.56 for a 400ci. 4.56-4.88 for a 350ci. This will put your rpm 6400 on the low side.7200rpm on the high side. This is over all gearing and do not use a PG,the cases brake.

THanks for the response, read they use four tracks. I was wondering what rules they use for Anderson Speedway. Do they use the CRA rules or Andersons Speedway rules. Also when they have CRA races do the tracks run a full regular nites schedule. And whats the format to make the main feature.

When the CRA runs they use CRA rules.The tracks useally run one or two of there ouwn classes,to help fill in time.The base format is top 28 qualifing lock in next 8 from last chance race. They have started 40 cars if thats what showed up. In the 200 lapers they will start all that show up. Only one time so far this year we have run a last chance race. We get 28 to 34 cars per race. The longer races get 50+ cars,races of 100 laps+.At a CRA race they will make ajustments to let most any Street Stock-Factory Stock race.

On the Salem site there Street Stocks are more like AC-DIXIE Pure Stocks,and there Super Stocks are like AC-DIXIE Factory Stocks or Sportsmen. For the 200 lap races they combine the rules of both classes.The Super Stocks lose the alum. intake,headers,roller rockers,spoilers and rear window. The Street Stocks get the Hoosier tire.
This race has been won by a Street Stock. The key to this race as well as the one at Winchester,is making it to the end to be in posision to win.

I found the rules for Anderson Speedway and with the schedule was able to figure out each nites events. Gathering info for next year, right now have four different plans. Have to pick one and hit the swap meets. Thanks
