Who's going where?

I hope we get more than the 25 or so that showed up for the 3rd of July race. Me I'd go to AC, less competition... don't the LMs get to run at Kazoo? And cars can go topless at AC and have great plexiglass sides.... that's cool.

Kazoo you can go topless (cars, not the area girls) and I have been cutting lexan all week for cars. I'd go to Kazoo. A/C needs to go back to dirt, like the good old days.

More compition the better you can say you beat more people and its one of the best parties of the year don't miss it!!

We are going to Kzoo if you can put 8" wheels on the car you can run it with some added weight for a few items

From this survey, looks like my last night scoring will be an easy one... since looks like no one's coming. Hope most of the regulars show... between the FS and LS that should be about 45-50 cars.

Just feel bad for the fans.

You know that all of the races are on the half-mile right? Most quarter-mile cars will be at Dixie on Friday for the invites.

I'll be at Auto City with my Sportsman, with some extra goodies on board!

AC's website is a little confusing on this one. If you look at the schedule it says:

SAT. SEPT. 29 - 1ST ANNUAL CLIO SPEEDPLANT SUPER SHOE ALL CLASSES + LEGENDS & SD

The rest of the year 'All Classes' meant 1/2 and 1/4 mile cars ran normally unless the class had a special show that night. So, if you're not familiar with the Super Shoe rules it seems like a special show with all the support classes still running. If you go into the news section it has more information stating, as Kyle wrote:

'All races run on the 7/16 mile / Full safety rules enforced! / Trucks are welcome - must meet all of the rules'

I take that back about the easy scoring night... Legends are hard cause they lap so fast. It has to be better at AC than Toledo's little 1/5 mile.

1 word K-ZOO the best party/race around.

Nothing can beat the Super Shoe at Kalamazoo!

Legends use transponders at Toledo. Some guys have their own. How hard would it be for AC to let us use them?

TT22KH
The track must have the proper wiring in the track. ASA Late Models use transponders too, but at Dixie they could not use them because Dixie was not equipped with the transponder equipment.

IMHO all tracks need transponders, makes the scorers lives a lot easier.

I 100% agree. In this day and age, every track local, national, etc., needs transponders with hand scorers as back up.

In this day and age, a lot of local tracks are happy with just being able to open the gate on a week to week basis. Transponders are a VERY expensive investment. And it doesn't end there. Once you have purchased everything you need to put in a transponder system, you then have to have the proper computer program to run it, and a computer savvy person to run that, and get everything out of it that it will do. To this day, there are still things that our transponder system can do that we haven't used. And then once you do have everything in place to use this system, then you have to make sure they are always charged, and that you have enough of them, and that all the drivers care about them, and take of them, because if one gets lost, or broken, they are a couple hundred dollars to replace, yes, that is each single transponder. And that number is low, I think Jim said it is over 300 dollars to replace just one of them!!!!

I love them, it makes many people's job much easier, and can provide many different informational values. But there just aren't many local short track promoters out there that can afford to invest thousands of dollars into a system like this. There isn't really a financial return here, it is just a tool that will make things much easier for many people involved with the track. And that is a good thing, just hard for many to justify spending that kind of money.
