From what I know so far, Scott Lamp won the mods and I think #12 won the factory stocks...not sure who it is.

Mark Klein led the whole Pro Late Model race and got passed by #12 on the last lap...I know the #12 wasn't Dan Leeck, my source isn't giving me that much information.

#12 is Cal Wiltse from Au Gres. That was one good race.Chris Trinklien won 4 cyl and Bob Farley won the lead sled

The # 12 in the factory stocks was John Zilwacki from Standish. It is his son's car, and was the first time the car was raced. He did a great job with a new car. Way to go John!!

very enjoyable night of racing last night at whittemore, i actually passed up going to toledo to go up there and can honestly say i didnt regret not going to toledo. the mod feature was an excellent race, not alot of caution flags and lots of passing to. the late model and factory stocks were good shows also but a few to many caution flags. i do have one minor complaint about the show though. the lineups take way to long to get lined back up. there had to be a better system to get the lineups straight. the factory stock feature started at around 6:15 and wasnt completed until about 7:30 or so because it took so long to get the lineups correct. oh well i did enjoy myself and would definitely think about going up there next year again.

but it was comical,,i was sitting next to this old guy who said his lead sled drivers like to beat and bang..so i had to stick up for my ac guys and said..ares will to..i told him they race a figure8 at dixie..and when pit bull turned left to miss that car and took out the leader,i told him see are do to...that old man got mad..as i laught my butt off

Mark Klein was tight and couldn't get the car to the bottom, Cale raced him clean and it took a few laps to make the pass but what I thought was more impressive was Cale 12 passing Hottis for 2nd on the outside.
Chad looked like he handled well and drove smooth as always but I think the motor rules at whittemore are just a bit more than what a/c and dixie cars can run. Chad was clearly out motored.
I'm really glad Tater didn't wad it up after contact. His car was angled hard towards the wall and he saved it.
I couldn't believe that the Mods could run that many green flag laps without a caution. I think it was 43 lap from the start of the race.
I'm glad I made it for the features.

Billy Luckhurst was the man on the move, he tried everything to get around Scott Lamp. Billy was much faster then Lamp in the corners, but Lamp was running the perfect line and speed to keep Billy behind him, that was one of the best MOD races that I have seen in along time.

What an idiot! Duane didn't race all year at AC and Chad drove a great race. They were running rams horns, x pipes, brezinski, and this is straight from their competitors mouths. The winner started dead last and drove around the best cars in the state on the outside. He would definately not have passed tech at AC or Dixie. The guy was a rocket. Nobody is complaining either it just next year to race there we will have to have more smoke. We took knives to a gun fight. By the way we had a great time. I hope to race there next year.

All the AC guys in every class drove thier butts off. We leave our printed invite rules a little loose and vague deliberately so everyone can fit in from any place. The very worst experiences that I have had at invitationals was getting beat up in the tech line. It was a stated goal that that would not happen here and also announced at the drivers meeting. Actually the talk around whittemore is to mirror more the AC and Dixie regular season rules next year to keep the power reigned in more. The big thing we kept in place and they checked on everyone was outlet diameter on the pipes which 2 inch stinger was max was allowed. One car was found with 2 1/2 to 3 inch pipe and he was asked to move up to factory stocks. He did with no problem at all (he borrowed some tires and wheels from one of our local guys) The AC guys did a great job again, the clio posse is welcome at Whittemore any time and enjoyed the time I got to talk with Nick and Chad (briefly) Thanks again for coming.

I had a fun this weekend. I just wish I had been more prepared. To start I had a flat tire on the trailer on the way to the track when I made it to the track I fought a push all weekend sat when I qualified I figured out the clutch was sliping so I changed out the disks. then I was so loose in the heat I couldn't drive so i adjusted more and got it so that it pushed agian in the feature. I was driving my a** off just to try and not get lapped then the yoke broke on my rearend. after I loaded every thing in my trailer I was out by the campfire relaxing and the guys I was camping with ran out of gas in their generator so I got out my gas and was filling their generator. I said do you have a flashlight and he said no so he got out his lighter to check the level and POOF FIRE the generator is on fire the gas poring out of the can is on fire I threw the can in the driveway before it blew up in my hand after we put the fire out I went back to drinking in the moring I left the track to come home I had another blow out on the trailer so with 3 tires on the trailer I limped it home at 20 mph for 4 hours

We will be at Dixie with the truck on Saturday. I hope that we can retain the 20+ truck count that we've had all year. We might lose a few of our regulars due to the Super Shoe in their other cars, but I'm guessing we will still have 18 or so trucks.
I seen you a few times this weekend but everytime I seen you, you appeared to be busy hustling around getting things in order and I didnt want to bother. I looked for you on Friday night for about 15 minutes with John Culp (racer98) to introduce ourselves, but didn't see you around.

What a great time even though i had some motor problems. It's good to meet other people from other tracks. You hear so much about some drivers but never get a chance to meet them and this is a great chance. Chad you did a great job for what you were running against and you have a class crew. Good luck in the next division. Some of the best racing I have seen in a long time. Two thumbs up for the whole Whittemore staff including Terry in the tire shack sweating it out.
