Congrats to Josh (if your related to Laci, God Bless You!).

I have a question about things like this, does he have to pay taxes on this? Is the truck considered like income? I know on game shows they have to pay taxes. What about on a show like OVERHAULIN? Do the people that didn't even sign up to get their car "overhauled" have to pay taxes on that?

Sorry for jumping off topic, just always wondered about that.

Unfortunately Keith yes Uncle Sam has to get his fingers into every thing and their is tax involved on any prize over 5 grand according to our license we had to purchase to make it a legal dealio.

Thank you Mr vids. I would like to add this was a real pleasure. Matt Arbour is a big time stand up sponsor of Whittemore Speedway. He went above and beyond with this promotion working really hard where everyone could afford to do it. If any of you happen across Matt in your travels or need a car, He is a very reputable decent guy. He has already agreed this was a wonderful promotion and offered to participate again so look for another in the future.

Dan Wieland of Wieland Contracting sponsors Travis Eddy. He ia a behind the scenes guy that also contributes very much to racing.

Harsen Chassis has been a long standing sponsor to racers for years and years. They step up for countless things at Whittemore.

Rayburn Oil is operated by a speedway past President from the mid 90s Bond Sappington. He was pleased to see the turnaround at Whittemore and pledged future support

Stoney Acres Collision is a Whittemore based business. They sponsor many racers and things around the speedway. We are lucky to have them in the communtiy.

Mancino's of Oscoda is owned by Vito Reno. Vito supports the speedway with 3 different race cars and is expanding his business to the Tawas Area. If you are traveling along US 23 please stop in for some great food and mention the speedway!

Gaylord Machine and Fabrication is owned by Bob Pruitt. His son Jordan has been winning his share of Mod races around the state. Bob is a class act through and through. They have been regular fixtures at our facility for several years now. He came to us to participate in this. He stepped above and beyond.

West Side Body Shop has sponsored race cars and the speedway for over 20 years that I know of. Larry and crew give and give to the racing community.

Speedway Grafix is pretty much the ultimate in race car grafix design. Ron did a great job for us and it was a pleasure working with him.

WKJC gave us airtime as part of their package that put value in place for all these folks. I believe over a hundred spots were aired for this promotion. They have helped Whittemore in multiple ways this season.

What I am asking from people that read these threads is even if your not a Whittemore Regular, thank these folks if you run into them. They are big time advocates of Michigan stock car racing. Whittemore is in one of the toughest impacted parts of the state financially there is very little industry. These folks looked past all that and pitched in to help our track and to give back to the racing community in general. They were not sure where their sponsor dollars would end up as far as who would win this trruck and still willingly participated. Please thank them for being a positive to motorsports. They deserve it over and over again. Jeff Parish WRC President 2007

Isn't he the one with the 30 kids? rolleyes.gif They'll have fun riding in the back with everyone checking out the cool ride!
Congrats to Josh, and Laci, if he does pull your car, it'll just be one more Ford out in front of a Chevy. biggrin.gif

Josh wanted me to let you know that he is NOT the one with all the kids.lol That would be his twin brother Jeremy. People have been getting them confused for years, everyone in my family just calls them "twin" instead of their real names.

My 2000 Chevy could still whoop that ford hands down by the way. angryfire.gif lol
