Who'll be at Dixie Saturday night? I'm heading there to catch the Flipper in action, would like to find some rowdies to holler & let him know we're cheering for him.

Thanks!!!!!!! Gota take em any way they come.
I actually finsihed 4th, then Tater and Nick were scored in the back, for the last lap deal????? that put me up to third.
Then both First and Second place had some minor problems in tech, about 1 AM i was the winner.
They looked us over good. Ride height, cam lift and run across the scales. Talk about luck.
Had a blast running 30 laps. can't wait to see the tape!!!!
Good job Robbie!

In the short track truck series heat race, # 87 driven by MSTRC member Kyle Callahan had a motor let go, and the ensuing oildown caused the two trucks behind him to spin, one of which was another MSTRC member, Flipper. That left both Kyle's on the sidelines for the feature which was won by # 33, Paul Schaffer.
In the mods Dave Christensen was out front until a double wide restart put Tony Brabbs beside him and with a great jump Tony took the lead and never looked back. Dave finished 2nd, and I think Steve Rollins finished 3rd.
In the late models, on the first lap one of the front row cars jumped out to a lead, but the something caused the car to slow, and a small tangle behind him left a pair of cars out of the race. Under caution Steve Sauve pulled off not to return.
John Doering moved to the front early on and led until the halfway mark. At lap 75 only 8 cars remained on the lead lap, one of which was the MSTRC member Claude Plante. Doering came back after the halfway break and jumped out again, but with 30 laps to go the lapped car of Dave Bigos helped John Van Doorn get around Doering, and with 14 laps in the race Doering pushes too hard trying to get around Van Doorn and some lapped cars coming out of turn 4 and spins himself out in the process. Under yellow he goes back to the 2nd spot but officials put him on the tail of the lead lap cars, or which there is now 8. Van Doorn isn't challenged after that and takes the checkered flag, followed by John Grega. Doering makes a hard charge back to the front and passes yet another car coming out of turn 4 on the last lap to finish 3rd. A great driving clinic by the # 5 driver was followed up by the fact Doering didn't make any fans by complaining about the lapped cars (instead of being patient) more than he mentioned his sponsers.

The # 16 SLM car finished on the lead lap and looked just as good as when it rolled off the trailer.
