so what ya'll doing now that the racing season is all done?



time to get the sleds out and get'em ready! and get he racecars ready to sell! well thats what we are doing! selling the mini going to pure! fun fun fun! or fun!

Since I retired from driving I don't have to worry about tucking away a car for the winter and when I need to start taking it apart and putting it back together again. What I am doing is working on my last couple of articles for the "Hot Laps" section on the Michigan legends Website and for submission to the papers.

Right now I am hauling all of the boats for winter and tucking away the marina that I manage for winter. I will spend some weekends at my place in West Michigan and spend a week there for firearm deer season with a few budddies of mine.

Preperations are under way for the MARFC Banquet in January and I will attend the Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame Banquet in November to watch my friends Ron Drager and Artie Sommers get inducted, then it is off to the Legends Banquet the following week. After Deer season comes Thanksgiving and the Mt. Clemens Thanksgiving parade. We (MARFC) will again have an entry in the parade and Laura Tucker and I (with input from the rest of the board) are figuring out what we would like to put in the parade this year and are trying to line up a couple of race cars for that.

December brings our annual fake NASCAR Banquet with the gang from WBVS Photos (Wild Bill's Video Systems). That is always a blast with our old Mt. Clemens gang (cards, lies, food, and fun). We also have the MARFC Kid's Christmas Party in early December. December will also bring more knee surgery to me and a 6-8 week period of crutches, therapy, and hopefully not too much pain. I hope to be off of the crutches by the MARFC Banquet and be hopping and skipping for the trip to Daytona in February. We also have the Mount Clemens get together at Kart to Kart the week after the MARFC Banquet.

In March we have the old timers meeting along with a MARFC Meeting at the Toledo Speedway Bar and Grille.

We have a pretty busy winter ahead of us, maybe I should have kept the race car.

well im building my first ls this winter to race at ac and looks like whittmore..now that they changed there rules...right now the doors and fenders are off the car.the engine is out and on the stand.getting ready to tear that apart.to take it in and get that built..the body of the car and all the componits are sanded,ready for primer and paint...

really i have about a month of work to do on it maybe a little longer..once the engine is done and in the car,everything will just slap together,,theres alot of things i want to do to it like the quater panels,but being my first year out,and tring to save money..ill just leave them the way the are,there not that bad.

i cant wait till next season,,see ya'all then

I am doing exactly what I was doing during race season.

Enjoying retirement, my motorcycle, the beach and of course trips to Hooters.
I plan no changes in my activities during the winter months.

hey like dale said we are selling the mini and getting a pure stock we are very excited. getting the sleds out for the winter. so if anyone has any tips for us in the pure stock class holla at me we can use all the help we can.

Well, Doug is getting his plow truck at work ready for all the snow we are going to have very, very soon and I'll continue to do what I do during the spring, summer, fall and winter...WORK

hey april i have an idea for ur pure stock!!! new driver! LOL jk! love ya like a cuz!!! LETS GET THE SLEDS A RUNNING!!!!

HMMM, where would I start? Chassis work....new front clip, redesign the front geometry, new parts up front. Hang a new body....shooot basically building a whole new racecar!!!!!
