Kurt,
Most times the LLM were only a car or two from recieving full scale. Without elimanating the LLM, we had to look at alternatives, in 2005 with an average of 7 LLM - they received $45,000 of the purse money for the season. In 2006 we cut the entire pay across the board, in 2007 we implemented a pay scale based on car count. This allowed the person traveling their guarenteed start money of $120. Basically they had a guarenteed payout, but with less than 10 cars pay started from 10th and worked backwards based on # of cars and that was what the winner is paid. EXAMPLE: say 9 cars showed - 9th would be paid for the 10th spot and the winner would get paid 2nd place money. All classes fall under this scale, we are not singling out the LLM. That is why we raised the start pay, so the field will fill. With the elimanation of the PRO 4 class, their are going to be 4 new LLM's. That should get them up in the 12 -14 range, which will be full payout. Then add travelers as yourself, the LLM class could have a full field

. Our goal for the payouts have been to take care of the field, rather than to top load it for the winner.
Here is the entire payout:
1. $500
2. $425
3. $350
4. $300
5. $250
6. $215
7. $180
8. $170
9. $160
10th on back. $150
