Is anyone going to the ARCA race at Toledo? Is there camping somewhere near the track? How is the racing?

Camping is allowed at the track (behind turns 1 & 2). I would call the track , but for all the big events there are alot of RV's, trailers and tents doing the camping thing.
The ARCA race at Toledo is always exciting. I think they start 38 cars, lots of action, and always a battle at the finish.
I think the race is also live on SPEED.

We start 36 cars. And yes the race is live on speed. About camping call down and talk to either Roy or Scott. 1419-727-1100. The race starts at 2 on sunday.

I would agree with you except there is one problem with Ken Schrader winning the ARCA race at Toledo this weekend. He's not even racing in it, hes running the cup race.

I'll go with 17-year-old James Buescher in the Red Line Oil Dodge Charger to win his Second ARCA Re/Max Series Feature of the season.
Have to cheer on the ASA Late Model Series alumni, after all, Buescher, at 16 years old won the 2006 ASALMS Southern Division Championship and Rookie of the Year title!
FINAL Top 5 Predictions
1. 32 James Buescher
2. 75 Michael Simko
3. 76 Gary Sherman
4. 29 Brian Keselowski
5. 18 Billy Leslie

McDowell is kind of "owed" one after the spring race there. Getting DUMPED by your "team mate" in the last couple laps can leave a lasting memory in your brain. I remember it, I'm positive he does too!!!!
Should be a good race, Linda and I will be in attendance.

Qualifying is Saturday. The field will be set Saturday night. Only the ARCA race on Sunday.
I guess someone else could try and qualify it, then he may have to start at the rear Sunday, but as of right now, according to Gary Lindahl, he has not registered, or have they heard of any plans of him doing so.
But, what Gary did tell me is that a grandson of Richard Childress will be making his ARCA debut on Sunday.

I havent heard anything about that but it probably is true. And if it is Richard will be there on sunday then, cuz it would probably be Richard's car.

Back in the day, (probably before Kyle was born) Schrader drove in the July event at Daytona (whatever the Pepsi 400 was called back then) and flew to Owosso to compete in the ARCA race the same night. Andy Hillenburg joined Schrader in the plane, and both drove at Owosso. From what I remember, Ken had a shot at winning it but something happened either during a yellow, or someone saw a yellow light from the pit area and slowed causing an accident, or something goofy like that. Maybe Wood or Ed can clear that up, but the bottom line is---------don't count out Schrader from racing anywhere at any time.
Noone is counting out Schrader but the only way he could even get in the field is if he flew to Toledo to qualify at 3:30 and got luck enough to draw the #1 qualifing position and then fly right back to Lowe's.

Really not sure why we are talking about this. Schrader isn't entered in the cup event in Lowes. the #21 feel out of the top 35 so they put Bill Elliot back in the car
On a side note..even though I live in Toledo, I'm going to miss the ARCA race

Before I realized when it was, I already commented myself to watch my Uncle race his MG at Mid-oho this weekend.
Anyways..to all you that are going.. Have fun!!
