That's good. I just wanted to double check that the door wasn't totally closed to the idea. Can't learn unless you ask, right?

Wood,
I realize the schedule is only tentative and I applaud ASALM for producing a template so soon, but I'm confused regarding the reintroduction of USPro Cup. Why is USPro racing the same day or weekend as the Northern Division. Aren't ASA Late Models and USPro cars the same? Could a racer run in both USPro and ASALM on the same day/weekend with one car?
Thanks,
Brian

USPRO cars and the ASA late model cars are almost the same. USPRO is trying to get more of the local drivers a stepping stone to possibly run the ASA late model series, much of the rules will be flexable to allow a Superpro car or an Auto City pro late model to run at a different track. ASA regular cars who qualified for the ASA event will not be able to run but if they have a back up car, it may run. This is to get back where USPRO started.

The back up ASA late model car can run USPRO, with a different driver?? Or the same driver??

Here's an example;
The O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis is hosting the 1st annual ASA Late Model Series Spring Nationals on Friday and Saturday April 25-26, 2008.
The ASALMS Challenge Division, ASALMS Northern Division, and USPRO Cup Series will all be racing on the same card and all three will be separate points events.
A driver can run all three divisions if he so chooses, but must have one separate car for each division.
Obviously teams with only 1 car have a choice to make. Some teams who have 2-3 cars could easily enter two of the divisions or all three. This is due to the ASALMS Impound Rule after Qualifying.
The USPRO Cup Series will always be a support division to either the ASALMS Challenge Division or the ASALMS Northern Division. In this case, they are supporting both.
Hope this helps....

Greg and anyone else interested in running the USPRO Cup Series in 2008.
A separate Registration Form for the USPRO Cup Series will be available in the coming days. Keep watching the main ASA Late Model Series Website for more information and i'll be sure to post the link to the form here on the MSTRC.
Once that is posted, numbers will be available with time allowed for the drivers who ran the Three (3) USPRO Cup Series races in 2007 to keep their numbers.

Hey Wood!
What about the guys that went to Owosso and played in the rain till it was cancelled?

The teams that ran in the USPRO Cup Series in 2007 (Owosso Rain Out and the 2 Winchester Shows) will get first dibs on their numbers they used until Next Tuesday (November 20, 2007).
Then beginning on Wednesday November 21, 2007 ALL remaining numbers will then open to the general public.
The only issue may be the fact that Terry Bogusz and Michael Gaier both used #71 in different events. They may have to work something out, but otherwise, the drivers that were at Owosso or Winchester should be able to retain their numbers.
