No bars may pass through the firewalls. Does this mean that I can bolt them to the firewalls and then out to the front. And from the firewalls to the cage? They or not through the firewalls, they are bolted.

I had to read this post's header twice to be clear what it was about... I first THOUGHT it said "Dixie Rules the Bars." Sorry... I'm getting old.

I don't think it matters what you do. They aren't going to do anything about it anyway.

Jimmy said at the banquet no bars through the firewall except one for the foot plate. He said all others would have to be cut out. I would run this by him before you go through the trouble. I don't see what it matters! Good way to read the gray areas of the rule book.

lead sleds. they are reffering to the bars many cars have going through the toe boards, and attaching to the frame right at the fire wall. this will make at least 6 lead sleds illegal at dixie. probably more. its crazy to run fig 8 without any frame support in front. when chad hit the wall at dixie with the throttle stuck his leg would have been broken without them. I hope they will change thier mind on this one. just about every track around is running front hoops and dixie is going to eliminate any front support in the car. They will not get cars from any other tracks thats for sure. Well Gerald is talking about bolting a hoop to tha fire wall! What do you think Jason?

Always thinking! They are getting tougher about this and other places are allowing more of it.

I didn't have any front bars in my car other than a foot bar but i agree it wouldn't hurt and is no performance advantage. Chad Lamson can tell ya it only takes on hit in these car and they could be junk. About bolting the bars to the fire wall i would guess that Dixie or A/C is going to say see rule #1 in the rule book. I would just ask before doing it so you don't waste time and money.

I cant wait to race. My motivation has been in the tank, but Im feeling good again. Thanks to all of you who have been raggin on me for the last year. It does mean alot to me. Bastads! My goal is fast heat 1st night out! Lofty? Maybe! My goal should be to be there on opening night. We'll see. My brother from another mother Chad Lamson will also be in the car too. Should be a fun year.

Bomber rules have been amended on Dixie's website, allowing bars to the front up to the rear of the control arms. No bars may go rearward.

you can put bars out the front but they must remain behind the upper control arm
that will give you some support. it is just like ac.
