There is some consideration being given to changing from Pure Stock/Sportsman racing to ABC style racing as was successful at Michigan Cup.

Please issue a vote in one of the following categories.

1.) I will not/can not run Springport in 08
2.) I will run Springport only if its ABC rules in 08
3.) I will run Springport only if its Class rules in 08
4.) I will run Springport either way, but prefer ABC rules in 08
5.) I will run Springport either way, but prefer Class rules in 08
6.) I will run Springport in 08 no matter what

Springport realizes that many drivers have Saturday commitments to other tracks.. you can choose to not vote or vote you can't run Springport.

But if you are considering Springport regularly or on some nights, please issue a vote to the set up you'd most desire.

I voted "I will run Springport only if its ABC rules in 08" because if it is not the ABC rules my car is not legal

Is Springport thinking about running mods?

Yes, he is considering running mods, hasn't yet determined if he can run them every week, or on a somewhat limited schedule. A lot will depend on two things that I am aware of, how the drivers as a whole will feel about running for a purse lesser than what is standard at Spartan, as the track right now likely will not be able to support a similar purse, and how many mods he could get to run on whatever schedule he finally decides on. The limited schedule would include the 6 mod nights off for the 'Zoo, and likely some other weekends, and would include the R&R IV race this year.

If you've ideas, thoughts or concerns, pm me, PFD or the Governor with them, they will all get transmitted to Jim for him to consider.

Man, what a bad morning for my typing.

Honestly, the neck/disc/vertabral issues and the effect it has on my fingers is evidencing itself in my typing. I find myself time and again having to go back and re-type something just because the feel is not there in my fingers right now, and after re-reading the above, it showed itself clearly.

I take my communication skills very seriously, and appreciate knowing when something is not clear. The above wasn't my best as of late.

talk about being split down the middle.. wow.

40 votes in and it would appear there are 26 RWD cars planning to race at SMS from the group of regulars here at the MSRC.

I would have thought it'd be higher.. but maybe there aren't as many drivers on here as I thought.

The Spartan Speedway poll: http://www.spartanspeedway.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1299 had 29 total votes.. 17/12 in favor of the ABC style rules.

It seems pretty apparent that its a fairly evenly divided group.
