Update:
Please send replies to this post to the M40 Speedway website Racing Discussion Forum, as Steve Brown is not a member of this board: Thank you,
We did some asking around... right now we have 7 or 8 modifieds that would commit to racing at M40. This does not include my mods, which you guys know I will not let run if there are points races going on. If you would run, even if you were already asked, please email me at steve @m40speedway.com.
If you know a modified driver or are one, please contact me or post something on the site. We need more cars than that to start this thing off.
If you want a good payout, then we need numbers. The ball is in your guys hands so try and get some more cars to commit. It would be a good idea to post our desire to have a modified class on every forum we know of.
Lets give it a week and see what happens. This would be a twice a month thing for 2008 if it was to happen. Then full time in 2009.
Update:
There are some possible dates, and payouts posted on the M40 Speedway website. Topic: (Mods in 09) Let Steve know your thoughts and ideas. (rb)

I cant imagine that guys would not want to run there. I took my mod there for the first Halloween Hustle a few years ago and it instantly became one of my most favorite tracks that I have ever run at. If I still lived in MI I would be ready to run there in a minute.

Steve,
I would have interest in running a few shows, but Spartan is so close, 23 miles for me vs the drive from Charlotte to M40 on Friday's
I have yet to turn a lap there as the other 2 times I was there we were rained out, but I would want to come and run a couple of shows before the USA race.
Just can't commit to twice a month.
I do appreciate the fact that M40 has an interest in running mods on a weekly basis.
You may want to post your intensions on the USA website as I'm sure Steve and his crew will support your desire to build the mods class @ M40.

Steve,, depending on your start times,, if I can get out in time. I would like to run M40. It is not that far from Dorr, and I sure could use the asphalt track time.
