Finally I found a pic of Tony Stewart standing next to a Toyota! sad.gif

I was hoping and praying that the rumors that he would end up at RCR would
be true, however I doubt that is true now.

I found an image of Tony against his 08 Toyota ride.

They can put Tony in Yugo and he'll still win biggrin.gif

Don't feel too bad - I'm betting at least a few of those COT's were Chevies last year!!!

I have this feeling that if Tony does not do good in the Toyota, he will jump ship.

I think is contact is still open. This is his last year with Gibbs correct?

I know that we live in a global economy now, however it seems we depend on ALOT of foriegn companies for our goods. The value of our $ goes down when it is sent over seas.

Wonder how much $$ was sent Tony's way to drive a Toyota. Humm.

Time will tell. I have faith that Tony will still be a winner, bet he possibly will be the first to win in a Toyota.

Tony's contract runs through the 2009 season, so he's got another two years with Gibbs before he has to make a decision. I hope you know this isn't the first time hes been with Toyota, he ran with them back in his IRL days.

True, True. But Indy is all foreign anyways, LOL

Rowdy will be the first winner for Toyota, just like he was the first COT winner.

I think Gibbs going to the only brand MADE IN U.S.A is good. We need more Sprint Cup cars that are nade in the .S.A. racing in the series. It should be a rule so the big 3 don't mak their cars in Mexico and Canada. Way to go Gibbs lets get America back into victory lane in Sprint Cup!

Money is a driving factor! I know for a fact that Tony wanted nothing to do with this brand change! I'm sure some big checks were sent his way with lots of zeros affixed to the end.

Yeah, you're probably right...

Well at this point all I can say is that I am behind Tony all the way.
I understand his decision to stay with Gibbs (for now) and see how things go with the Toyota and it was not just about money for Tony.

Even though his contract is through '09 he does have ways to opt out early and I would suspect that if the first half of this season goes really badly for the Toyotas he will be in talks with RCR before the season ends. If the cars do so-so he may hang in there and ride it out and see how the '09 starts shaping up.
But last time I heard him mention his contract he said he was not ready to start talking with Gibbs for an extension or a new contract yet. Said he was in no hurry and was too busy and that was just a couple months ago. Gibbs was trying to get started early though.

Although personally I would rather see Tony behind the wheel of a Chevy, man would I love to see him jump right out of the shoot and start out by winning the Daytona 500!!!!
Go Tony! Go Tony! Go Tony!
