This will get posted, along with rules in the next few days...

Modifieds to run eight times at M40 Speedway in 2008!!!

That’s right, modifieds will run an eight race limited schedule in 2008 at M40 Speedway! The rules for this class will be a common set of modified rules that are based off of the USA Modified Series. These will be non-points events structured to be a showcase of things to come at the speedway in the future. It is our hope that modifieds will run a complete season in 2009 and that of which will be based upon the response we get from these eight dates.

The race dates will be as follows:

May 16th
May 30th
June 20th
June 27th (USA Modified touring series event)
July 18th
July 25th
August 15th
August 22nd (USA Modified touring series event)

The pay structure for these events will be as follows:

500,350,250,200,175,150,125 and out.

For complete details on these events, rules and payout structure please visit out website at:

This should help get a good base of pavement mods in southwest Michigan. I think with 2 tracks racing mods in the area will help the class for sure even if M40 is only doing a few shows.

What I find funny is that everyone is bringin in mods.....except Berlin! We tried, I've talked to Scott Lane, I believe Dan has talked to him too...........I don't know. I believe that mods are a great fit for Berlin but they keep saying the fans aren't interested in a regular division. I'm leaving Berlin after '08. I'll be buying a mod, haven't decided dirt or asphalt ...most likely asphalt. K-zoo and M-40 now have mods...........Spartan, not terribly far away. I'm in love with mods and have been forever........that's where I want to be. Keep em growing!

Just as I have said for a long time Rob,

Once you've been "modified", you can't go back!

have a good day,
