Boys the LS class will be running fri and sat 12 times this summer, and Joe is gonna give 5 bucks off on Sat if you race on Fri. Looks like Ill be doing some camping at AC this year. Joe even said we can lock our cars in the pits if we want to.

yeah i spoke with him earlier this month about it, im thinking its gonna be a fun season. he was also saying friday and saturday nights (probably) wont both go on the same points system, so for those who cant run fridays can still stay in the points chase on saturday nights, and those who want to run for points wont be forced to run both nights to stay in it. id think there shouldnt be any points for friday night shows, just run for cash only. that way it will attract the dixie guys to come down on friday, and it wont screw up the feature winner starting behind the invert situation... that could be a mess.

nope you will only be able to take points from one night, so you dont have to worry about being there both nights if you cant do it. So your only advantage is to better your finish.

haha, no i was just implying it could create a situation if they are both considered points nights. because the feature winner has to start behind the invert on his next feature... say one guys only runs on saturdays, he wins the feature, doesnt show up the following friday, a different guy wins the friday feature, now on saturday the winner of the previous weeks feature winner has to start behind the invert, as well as the guy who won the night before? its just a mess... i say make friday a nonpoints, or a seperate points night....none of this take the better of the two and keep one crap. essentially it still forces a guy to run both nights in order to be in a points chase situation, because if he runs saturdays only, hes going to get outed by a guy who could afford, or had a job allowing him to pull off both nights. thinking back to when they had the sunday fundays, it was a mess, we had to be there basically all weekend to stay in contention for a points battle. or think of it this way, it could hurt saturdays count, if i won on friday, i know im only keeping one nights points, im not going to outdo that friday night, so i might as well leave my car parked rather than go out again on saturday for nothing. im just trying to look at all possible angles of this thing before it becomes a bad oversight.

i guess you could also work the system, win friday, go out saturday and start behind the invert, and just wing it to get rid of that behind the invert penalty. or win the previous saturday, go out on friday, start the feature behind the invert and pull off at some point, collect my start money covering my admission pay and load up in one piece. i guess theres more than a million ways to look at this...

I dont care about points. Big grill, big steak, fast car, Damn if I could find a good woman Id have it made in the shade. Just fun for me bro.

I guess Ive never been in a points race. Hard for me to say. I know it adds alot of stress that I know I dont need. I really just want to enjoy racing with friends.

I had to learn the hard way, you hangout in the pits with friends, you race competitors... i made the mistake of getting those two confused at the beginning. I had a lot of friends till i hit the track, then i was on my own...

nick is right ...they should have like spartan does just for money on fridays...points on saterdays...but i will try to be there for both nights...stupid job has me out of town all the time..better go buy a tent...chad you bring the grill ill bring the steaks...and dogs...let me know about the karts to man...im still working on the car though but she will be ready.by at least the 2nd week of racing but we are shooting for the 19th

yes it is actually still in the storage unit... i was hoping to get started on it before now, but i havent got a garage to use yet. i might just pull it out on april 12th, change the fluids and see what it does?
