USPRO Cup Series: Hoosier 1080s

HOOSIER 1080s? What tire is this? Not the 3035 3045? Now we have to buy 4 new tires to race USPRO....4 new tires to race Super PRO, 4 different tires to run Auto City....why? urgh...what kind of compound is the 1080?

ASA has always been on the Hoosier tire. SuperPRO has always been on the American Racer tire.

Yes I know...but it has been on the 3035 and the 3045 tire just like Auto City *(ASA tires are officially marked ASA tires by Hoosier), but the USPRO Races last year we were able to run the 3035/3045 tire....never heard of this other hoosier tire.

SuperPRO is on the American Racer 10" "soft wall" tire

Im just saying that in the various sets of tires needed to race at various races kind of suck.

By the way, the other tracks that sell this tire *(primarily down south, with the exception of kalamazoo ((im not sure of there))) are selling them for $100 a tire...

"Hoosier 1080 Tires will make contact with the track. These tires sell for just $100 each." Wonder what they will cost per each USPRO race

Kyle,

I talked with Bob and he said it was a harder tire. If you run Indy, with the two tire rule you will want a harder tire. I understand how you feel but, I think this way they can keep better track of tires. I don't know blush.gif blink.gif Call Bob and ask, he is the man.

Yeah I'm not arguing the fact that the tire is probably a "better" tire for some places *(indy, Toledo, etc) but the 3035/3045 is a better overall tire for Dixie, Berlin, etc....and I know Bob knows a lot of good stuff..it just sucks we can not run series to series without spending $500 just to show up in tires!!!! urgh, oh well no body said they had to pick tires based on my two cents....
