This article was on www.whowon.com. This event is taking place the weekend after the midgets are there indoors. If anyone from Michigan wants to come you can stay with me and I would help out. I only live about 50 minutes from the track.

Cedar Lake Speedway 2008 Opener Guaranteed on April 3-6 with the Announcement of “Midwest Modified Meltdown”
by Jamie Nutzmann
NEW RICHMOND, Wis. -- Throughout Cedar Lake Speedway’s 50 year history, their ability to innovate has proven ultra successful. 2008 again brings innovation to the track as racing moves indoors guaranteeing a season opener like no other. Early April tends to be unpredictable so CLS has made up Mother Nature’s mind. There will be races at CLS that weekend. In October 2007 the Amsoil Sandbox Arena located adjacent to Cedar Lake Speedway opened their doors to motocross and ATV racing. After a successful kickoff, participation has continued to grow but for two weeks in March the jumps and dips inside Sandbox Arena will be replaced with a 1/4th to 1/5th mile clay oval. As previously announced, the first ever indoor Midget race in the area will be held on March 29th and 30th and feature the Badger Midget series along with many of the best names in Midget racing. Cedar Lake Speedway is now thrilled to announce that the first 40 Midwest Modifieds to register will take to the indoor track on the following weekend (April 4th – 6th). Don’t miss your opportunity to be part of history at the first ever Midwest Modified Meltdown.
Schedule of events for this inaugural indoor/outdoor weekend are as follows. Thursday, April 3rd all cars are welcome for an open practice from 6 to 9 on the 3/8” mile high banked clay oval. Friday, April 4th CLS will kick off their 51st season with all 5 classes racing outside. Saturday, April 5th the Midwest Modifieds move indoors racing a complete show beginning at Noon along with complete shows for all 5 classes that evening beginning at 6:30pm. Sunday April 6th the Midwest Modifieds again move indoors with another complete show at Noon. Regardless of the weather, plan to be at Cedar Lake Speedway this weekend for a truly memorable time.
