Full Version: Steven Wallace

watching the Nationwide race and it looked like Steven was pissed that Kyle Busch was passing him. Wallace took a swipe at Busch and tried to pin him down on the apron which would have wrecked both of them but Busch was fast enough to pass him. Then Wallace wrecks himself while trying to keep up with Busch. When is Rusty gonna take that kid behind the woodshed and knock some sense into him? If I was his dad, I'd make write, "To finish first, you must first finish" 100 times infront of the crew that is rebuild his wreck.

I did see the replay that showed Busch rut Wallace going into the turn about a lap before Wallace crashed. When Busch was following Stewrat, you could see the damage on the front of the 18. maybe that's why Busch couldn't hold off Stewrat. Never mind now, Busch in the wall! Rusty has a good driver in Stemme though.

I think Steven could be a good driver if he just would use some self-discipline in the car. It's almost like he loses focus then makes a dumb decision, in every single race. The guy can drive.. he won the Snowball Derby, won Late Model races, and won in ARCA. Having Stremme on that team will help get some consistency.

I really think they need to put Steven in some truck races or back to ARCA for a while. Or maybe his dad needs to sit shot-gun in a few races with the brake pedal on his side (drivers-ed style).

I feel bad for the guy. Your in a legendary racing family and your wrecking race cars left and right... his confidence has to be at an all time low.

Did you ever see Rusty race back in the ASA days??? I am not so sure that the apple didn't fall to far from the tree.

I think if the kid had to fix them himself he might drive differently.

What are you saying ?? I remember not long ago he had sockets to help work on the car . eek1.gif rofl3.gif
Steven is a good kid and he will do fine in a few years , Today KIDS have to perform right now or will be pushed aside. The great thing about having Rusty as dad Steven should get laps not worried about getting booted like some. When rookies came into the sport years back they just got seat time.

Bill, you aint far off, Steven does help us, today he powerwashed his wreck car and helped cut the body off, he is a good kid, granted he is spoiled but if you had the resources that Rusty and Patti have wouldn't you do what you could for your kids? I know I would, Jeff Gordon sucked in Busch wrecked all the time and so did Tony Stewart, Steven will be just fine he just needs to get his emotions in check, I think having Shane Huffman spotting for him will help and Harold Holly calling the shots, Harold is sharp I like working with him, I just can't tell you how Lucky I feel having the chance to work with and for such great people, If you would have asked me in 2003 what I would be doing in 5 years, I would have said " Digging Ditches, What else?" but thanks to Michigans Shitty Economy the decision was made for me in 2005, and I never looked back, all I can say is this is a GREAT country we live in and I for one am Thankful, My glass is ALWAYS half Full.....Bruce
