There are so many people to thank when your building a race car, but I must take time to thank Nick Johnston. I came home from work yesterday, and had to drive my kids to Gross Point back to thier moms house. Nick was already there working on the car. I came back to my house several hours later and my belts were installed, and a motor and transmission put in the car all while I was running the roads. I was stammerd at the progress he had made. That combined with the fact that he has helped me all along the way on my car. Without his help there is no way my car would be nearly ready come opening day. I have alot of people who help me. My dad, Chad L, Dan B, John D, Luke, Cam H, Joe W, and too many others to list who stop by the shop to help, (I really have some great friends.) but I really felt obligated to say thanks to Nick. The man has done more work than I could list. So thanks Nick and all the others who helped me to make this happen.

That being said sorry about having to whoop your butt this year Nick!!!!! rotflmao! rofl3.gif

Chad,

You better take a car key and make the first scratch in the paint!! That's a ritual for me, I'm not going to let someone put the first scratch into my ride, if theres going to be one, I want to do it!

It's only fitting that Nick be the first one to follow you around, and give you a little bump wink.gif

Chad,

That is one of the best things about this sport, just wait until that day at the track wherein somethings happens to your ride and you have a number of people coming up without being asked, trying to hlep you get it track ready again.

That sir, is an unbelieveable feeling, especially when some of those who are helping you get your car together are ones that you've tangled with one way or another on the track at some point in time or another.

Probably the best way to describe this behavior is selfless, whether or not they ever need your help in the future, they are there to help you.

Selfless.

have a good day,

Schinde, You couldn't be more on target with that statement. One night after our heat race a guy parked next to me needed to replace a drag link/idler arm, I don't remeber which, He had some old parts with him but rusted to bejesus, I told my boys: get the wd-40 out of the truck and bring a big hammer. Well work was completed and toe set before the Feature started. By the way this guy had just beat me out for the heat win by a red hair, yeah, Him first, me second. This is one of the many valuable leasons that my kids learn at the race track, be selfless and giving. And even if someone there proves they are an a--hole it shows them how not to act. You can't buy that type of experience. Tom

I've seen how you and your kids are at the track. It's a class act from start to finish. The sport needs more people like Tom and his family! And of course the people mentioned above. It's a joy to see people that have more than their own interests in mind!
