Jerry do you know that my dad is the tech man there now? Joe is going to try to stay out of tech issues and Reneke is going to be doing the competition direction. If Joe is able to stay out of the pits and not be dealing with tower issues the new management of the track should do alot to make it a better place to race. (Joe has said he will stay out of the pits in that capacity, and will back my dads calls.) I can tell you this, there will be no going to the tower to overrule a tech decision. That will most likely be getting you a mini vacation. My dad will be a very fair and thoughrough tech. The guys at AC have been clammoring for a more involved teching of the cars and consistancy, and I truley bvelieve you will see that this year. With all the changes it would be great to see you guys back at your home! Jerry you know that there has been a Persails racing at the city for many years and that you should give them a chance. (you know I would love to see you guys there, but if not Ill have to settle for seeing you at Eldora every September.)

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread. It's a great tribute to Sam and speaks volume about what people thought of him to have so many get involved like this.
That is the fact. Part of the reason is that sooooo many racers dealt with Sam at some point in thier careers. Sam sold a ton of racecars, (In fact it would be interesting to know how many.) and that was just a small part of his overall business.

The 12x mod has "88" welded into the frame on the inside of the cockpit. I assumed that was the build number, but I really dunno.
I can think of about 5-6 that were built after that car, probably more.

that's where sam told me he id'ed his cars. welded the # inside next to the seat. i could never find a # on mine. but sam knew which car mine was. he never knew why mine didn't have a # on it. but he was sure it was #24. the car i have won the championship at owosso in '93. i still have what's left of the car, under a tarp, behind the barn.

We bought my dad's car in 05 and first ran it in 06, it did not have the number welded in the frame, but maybe that's because I ordered it without the upper control arm mounts on it, making it a custom and not a standard car? I dunno. Maybe it was disowned because of the buyers.

Well I am not one to talk about where the identification would be because I have never been too involved with the fabrication part of the process but I know that numbers were welded in the frame and now there is a Windpusher plate welded to the crossmember.
Gavin, I doubt it was because the buyers were disowned.

The 12x had the plate in the frame, and the number on the frame rail... with the new clip it still has the plate in the frame. Which is cool and a really good marketing idea.
Otherwise I was just joking around...

I think biker guys, and flat trackers are technically different, but I've been out of that scene for almost 20years. Man that 750 was badass.

Now you can plan better and not have to ride the moped. Any more than about 30 rolls of TP is going to be tough to carry without a bigger vehicle.

Are they the big rolls. If they are you really only need two. Unless Chad has a friend to help!!! Than four might be the ticket!
