Weather's pretty drippy here at home (15 miles south of Detroit)... I was suppose to go night, but doesn't look good.

Nothing on the ASA site .... anyone know anything?

“ASALMS Live” from Toledo Speedway. (Saturday Edition)
Posted April 12th, 2008

The battle is finally over and Mother Nature has won this round!

After battling all morning and into the afternoon with the weather, ASALMS and Toledo Speedway Officials have been forced to postpone the Glass Breaker Race Weekend.

A forecast for continuing showers and the possibility of snow late into the evening left Officials no choice but to postpone the 2008 ASALMS Northern Division and USPRO Cup Series Season Openers.

The raindate for this event was going to be Sunday, April 13, 2008 but after checking with the National Weather Service, a forecast for unusually cold temperatures and snow showers throughout the day left Officials with no choice but to scratch the whole weekend.

For the USA Modifieds Series, this is the second time in a row that they’ve lost their 2008 Door Opener.

A make-up date for this event for the ASALMS Northern Division and USPRO Cup Series is being negotiated and will be announced by Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Look for this event to be made up on one of the two open weekends in the month of May.

I found it after I posted the question... was I have a couple bookmarks for ASA and clicked the wrong one.

All I kept thinking about was the Spring Bristol race a few years ago and how miserable that was. I've decided, I must be getting old (if mid 40's is old) because I really didn't want to sit outside in the cold.

Well hopefully they can find a spot to stick it.... maybe a Sunday or something.

Just got back from Toledo, May 3rd is the make-up date.

Kyle
That date is NOT set in stone!

We're exploring all options for this race to be made up, but not on that Saturday due to the fact that Flat Rock (Toledo's sister track also owned by ARCA) is 20 minutes away, Oakshade is 30 minutes away, and Sandusky and Lorain are about 45 minutes away and all Four run on Saturday nights.

PLUS the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race from Richmond is on TV that night as well.

As you and everyone else on MSTRC knows, we'll be keeping everyone informed when the official make-up date is determined!

From what I read on the ASA North website the rain date is now SUN June 1st
Wood
That is correct. Sunday Afternoon, June 1, 2008. Special Afternoon Starting Times. Just like the old days of Toledo Speedway.
