Anyone out there with a good Cummins background?? On they way home last night my Turbo kept dropping out, then would come back. Kind of like when a TPS is bad and the throttle drops out. Is there a popoff valve that may be dirty, or a loose fitting or hose that I can check first, or should I just take it in for service?? Also for some reason if the turbo is bad, would I be farther ahead replacing it with a Mopar one or after market? It only has 170K on it.

sounds like a leak in the turbo system. pressurize the system and put soapy water on all of your rubber connectors. also check for a leak in the waste gate. and it wouldnt hurt to but a giant bully dog turbo on it...you know......for gas mileage hahah!

I found the hose from the intercooler to intake lose on mine one time, just check all hoses on the pressure side.
