RICHMOND, Va. – Throw Brad Keselowski in the mix of drivers who could see time in the No. 70 Haas CNC Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car this year.

Keselowski has already tested for the team at Nashville Superspeedway and he might test with them Monday and Tuesday at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Haas CNC Racing General Manager Joe Custer declined comment on his future drivers Friday, but said he hoped to get some things solidified this weekend.

With Rick Hendrick owning half of JR Motorsports, the team for which Keselowski drives in the Nationwide Series, and Haas CNC Racing being a Hendrick affiliate, Keselowski’s participation with the team makes sense.

“We’re going to figure that out this weekend,” Keselowski said on whether he would test with Haas CNC Racing at Charlotte. “It looks like I might go down there Monday and Tuesday and just help them out. We’ll see.”

Whether Keselowski would actually drive in a Sprint Cup race for the team, the driver said he didn’t know and would take things “one step at a time.”

Keselowski is seventh in the Nationwide Series points.

“It’s a great opportunity to drive anything I can drive,” Keselowski said. “I’m a Nationwide-only driver, and we’re right on the brink of going out and winning races and just lacking that little piece. … The more I can drive, the more I can learn and hopefully get better and help this team out.”

I'm a little confused here. I notice that you are quite infatuated with Brad (who is a very good wheelman indeed) however you continue to disrespect Dale Jr. on other posts. I believe that Dale Jr has opened many doors for Brad and has given him one heck of an opportunity in which you seem to forget. Which side of the fence are you on there cupcake?

I don't think the two necessarily have to go hand-in-hand.
For example.......I do not like Jimmie Johnson at all but I like his crew chief Chad Knaus. I am a fan of Jeff Gordon but I can't stand Rick Hendrick.

Do you tend to forget that Brad is from this area? Are you aware that I know Brad on a personal level even before JR Motorsports came along? I don't have to sit on either side of the fence, the driver in regards here is a personal friend.

There are a lot of variations you need to take into consideration. PS, I would also like for you to dig up where I mentioned that fact that "I disrespect" Dale Jr. I've never stated that I didn't like Dale Jr, nor did I ever say I didn't have respect for the man. If you don't have "respect" for someone who's won 17 career cup races, then I don't know. Am I a member of JR Nation? Nope. Do I think he's the best thing ever? Nope.

I do however have respect for him, I just am stating the fact that my friend is getting a shot.

I love Brad also. I was just hoping he would get a chance at one of the big teams. I think he is more then capible to get the job done in a good Sprint ride.
