Chad, a car spun the 0 car and x23 car out and it was a mess from than on.

i wasn't there but congrats chad. you are a very excellent driver and you did a really great job with the caddy at auto city. but on another note, people can say what they want but atleast joe dewitt doesn't hold anyones money back from them. it would be nice to see all the figure 8 drivers when ac opens the new figure 8. it will be another figure 8 that i think chad will dominate, lol.
nate
May 12 2008, 10:03 AM
chad can dominate at any track he runs...he is a hell of a driver...but dont forget chad is only one person on that team...he has a great mechanic as well....and together they put on a great show....now that he dont have the caprice...it was great watching him come through the field...he would put the car where it shouldnt of been...and make it stick....thats the stuff i love....thats racing...good job chad

If someones getting a DQ and they are going to review the tape for final verification. I understand it completely. You wouldnt want to finish say 2nd, and get paid for 5th would you? IMO they are reviewing everything and going to make the best decision.

it seems awful funny that ac gets it figured out before you get to the pay window so you can get your pay before you leave. but then again ac sends out the drivers pay for the banquet even if they don't show up. maybe mike kerns is just falling back into his old tricks again???? wouldn't surprise me.

I agree. These decisions should be made at the track the night of the race. The have video ready the night of the race they can review. This isnt NASCAR you shoulnt have to wait several days to see what fines will be levied to whom. Thats kinda silly. I didnt realize that Chad had started 14th to win that race. Wow good job as usual Chad. The Chadillac is looking like it is picking up where the caprice left off. Your season has certainly started off on a better note than mine.

Dixie also moves everyone else up in position for pay when there is a disqualification; if the winner gets DQ'ed, 2nd gets 1st place money, 3rd gets 2nd, etc. Auto City takes that money and puts it into a "points fund." and nobody gets moved up by position for the pay that they deserved.
Every track has its flaws.

That is true. That is the way it should be. I think Jane used to do that as well if I recall correctly. Fair is fair. If you finish 1st because the winner was dqed than you earn 1st not second. I am not trying to bash Dixie (I know I have in the past, but as far as Im concerned whats done is done.) I just think it is wrong to keep racers money from them. Sometimes you need it to get yourself back out the next week. I know I have an extremely tight budget for racing. I will also say AC has many flaws, and I really wish those tracks would work together. Wish in one hand and crap in the other........

I am not sure why the pay was held but they must have had some kind of reason. They would not do that for no reason.
I know that this is off topic, but I don't have as big of a problem with not being bumped in pay after a DQ if the money really is put into a points fund. The only proper way to do this is to establish a points fund in writing at the start of the year, and then a protocol for increasing the points fund after a DQ. For example, if a FS gets DQ'ed from 2nd, distribute that money back into the FS purse amongst the top 5 or something like that.
That would be better than not bumping the pay for everyone else at least.
I did not see the Fig-8 race in question, but I heard an awful lot of yelling afterward!

Just so you guys know. The new video guy is a Tool. The tower doesn't have review anymore and it is taking way to long for them to get a copy for review. When Grease Monkey Graphics agreed to let this guy take over, the prices were supposed to be the same, $7 for drivers $10 for specs. Looks like that is out the window.

if that is the case then why should drivers wait to get paid for mike's inadaquicies to hire the right people for the job? he has owned and run the track long enough to know things like this would come up. atleast there is no hassles getting paid at the window at auto city and no excuses. you race that night, you get paid that night no matter what. joe atleast makes sure of that.

i am not on a band wagon but if i was i would feel more comfortable on joes then i would mike kerns. i have nothing to complain about joe dewitt. he IS treating everyone fair and doesn't hold money back from any of the racers like kern has and is still doing. just facts is all. i am playing nice, i do not beleive that i have tried to offend anyone. auto city is my preference like dixie is others. can anyone tell me when joe has kept money from a driver for not showing up to a banquet? or can anyone tell me when joe has kept money from a driver for a few DAYS or a week or so just so he could figure out what happened? has joe ever told a division that they was just a fill in and wasn't needed and cancelled a division just to begg them to come back half way thru the season? mike did that to the factory stock division. and yes, i do agree that they both have their faults but my point was that atleast joe does not keep money from the drivers.

Every thing is going good except for a couple of so called veterans in the bombers who cant drive for the life of them and just run into every body. Both hanna and chad are doing fine just trying to learn do drive in traffic. Both cars are very good just takes seat time. I should be out to the city in a couple of weeks on a fri just not sure what day yet or who's car. I hear you getting a handle on your car just don't hit the wall it gets expensive.

Yeah I get that seat time thing. Itll be good racing with ya, or behind you if I dont get the car any better. It was scaled this week and it was a mess. Well look better next week I hope. I need some new springs. No cross at all in it.
