Just to let everyone know that MMRP has opened up there tire rule.

Mods may run "ANY" tire that is ran in Mods for UMP, IMCA or MMA you no longer have to run an American Racer on the right rear.

Street Stocks may run the American Racer OR the Hoosier.

I hope this helps hold the cost down for race teams not having to buy different tires to race at MMRP.
Good luck to everyone this weekend and we look forward to seeing you at the track.

Why should he rely on just Crystal cars?

He isn't just relying on Crystal cars, I think SS DIRT was making the reference that Crystal is only 10 or 12 miles north of MMRP and all of the Crystal cars are legal at MMRP. They can race MMRP on Friday and Crystal on Saturday, Both tracks allow camping so this can reduce the tow for those that live farther away.

I think for many, it is tough enough to run one night, let alone two. I hope Gene and Linda get the cars the next two weeks and establish that group for the season. I would hate to see MMRP close down for the year. Although, I would have to think that it would be reopened for CornHarvest...I really hope.

Maybe with the promise of nice weather this weekend, there will be a chance that drivers will be travelling a bit and find MMRP on their schedule for this Friday. Plus. Trevor Hollis is now announcing there, so the drivers will get good exposure!

Roger,

If the car count is not better in the next two weeks it will be closed down, With the exception of the Casey Eberspeaker Memorial race and Corn Harvest.
As for Trevor Hollis, I believe he does a DAMM good job announcing there.

Gene has been doing some creative things to give back to the drivers.

Such as, For every 5 gallons of fuel you buy your name goes into a hat and towards the end of the night they draw one name out to recieve 5 gallons of FREE fuel for the following week.

During Every Feature someone in the grandstand draws a number for that class and that driver recieves a FREE pit pass for the following week.

I m not just saying crystal cars. Like said in one of the post they are only a stone throw away. I talked to some drivers from I 96 and they said after the 1500 to win show they are coming to play also. So hopfully we as drivers and word of mouth and from some people doing things like the free mod deal can help show gene our apresiation for his work to let us race at MMRP

Good thing the Corn Harvest will not be affected. We loooooove the Corn Harvest!

Hardcore Graphics is offering 5 free pit passes to any new mod drivers that show up this week. If your a new mod driver and go to Palo look up number 71, Jason from Harcore Graphics and he will reimburse you for your pit pass, up to five new drivers this weekend.

Would be nice if another sponsor could do the same for another class or two.

What's the latest on MMRP? Why are they having trouble getting cars there? I hope the corn harvest still happens.

I absolutely love the creative way you guys are trying to get cars and fans. That is awesome and you guys deserve to be commended. The racing world needs more people like you. I'm sure word will get around about your efforts, and you'll start to see results. I really hope you do. In this hard time we're all living in you have to be creative. I hope other tracks consider doing some of the same type of things. Again, good job guys.I hope it pays off.
