It is a Friday evening show. The pit gate times are:
Gates Open: 2:00pm
Hot Laps: 3:45pm
Qualifying: 5:00pm
Racing Starts: 7:30pm
Qualifying doesn't ALWAYS start at 5. It depends on the car count. We have let practice go as late as 6pm, if we can.
The MOST a registration would be is 20 bucks for a one time visitor. Plus your Pit Pass.
All the rules and additional information can be found at www.spartanspeedway.com
Hope that helps!!!

There was supposed to be no registration. You can also run the 970 tire but must be 58% left and weigh 2450.

Dont you think that it should be one or the other? Having both penalties is kind of harsh.

Interesting rules on the 970 tire. I am told that they are slower than the standard tire. In fact, I was told that they are two tenths slower.

Those rules were made prior to any of us testing the new American Racer tire which was "assumed" to be slower than the 970. We thought it would be slower because it was supposed to be the same as the old MMA tire. It's a good tire...but not the same as the MMA tire....
In my opinion, the weight penalty is not necessary. However, I don't feel that those weight penalties would equate to a measurable dis-advantage as far as actual lap times are concerned.

I didn't say there WAS one, I stated the MOST it would be for a one time visitor is 20 bucks.
I was told that the Invitationals required NO registration fee. I wasn't sure if that was meant for Sunday's only, or the Memorial races also, so that is why I stated it that way.
I'll find out for sure, 100%, and then post it.

Just a little rundown showing where this race is at right now.
I have sold 67 of the 100 laps. I have $805 pledged so far for lap money, some of it still hasn't been collected. If I don't sell or don't get the money sent to me then that is money lost.
The Dash for Cash, first place is sponsored so far only. The other five spots have not been sponsored.
Fast time is sponsored by Beacon Sales of Charlotte for $100.
The Chargin Charlie Ryan Hard Charger Award is sponsored by Joe & Dawn Biddenger for $100.
Here is the purse for the race -
1. 1000
2. 600
3. 400
4. 375
5. 350
6. 325
7. 300
8. 275
9. 250
10 225
11 200
12 to 22 175
There is no registration for this race.
Tire rule is you can run the American Racer 704 or the Hoosier 970. There is no penalty for running the 970.
Hope to see a lot of cars there for this race.
