I didn’t get time to rework the mount to be able to move the camera, but the mud was no problem this time. However, I tried recording on the high quality setting which limits the record time to 55 min. Normally this would have been enough, but a bad wreck on the start took over half an hour to clean up. That along with the time on the back road I missed the best part of the race. The memory ran out just when we were getting ready to take the green after the last caution recorded. Shortly after the green there was a great 10 to 12 lap battle with the 2 car that restarted in front of me. If it had been on medium quality I would have gotten it all. I think for now I will stick with the medium, being that it is still pretty good and you can’t notice a difference when the video is converted to be posted online anyway. I think the high quality setting mainly gains for TV playback.
Also unfortunately the track lights blurred out most of the picture during the big wreck. On the original when I play it back in slow motion you can just make out the cars and see one of them rolling over during the wreck. I don’t think you can really tell much though online.
