Tim McCreadie wins the Who 55.
Dona Macoullier
Frank Sedar
thats what I remember.
Also it was great seeing a couple of my childhood hero's......Tom Rosebrugh (I used to scrap mud from his D17 Howe car 1982), Bob Kingen, Kris Patterson
and Frank Sedar ( I used to scrap mud from his car too!!!!!!) at AutoCity speedway. Man where has time gone.
Great feature, just mad about the way the track ran the show. But it is also a great track, this was my first time there and I'll be there again.
53 late models there.
Randy
PS The Flying Farmer may head south Saturday to the shade.

Did they get the whole show in before the rain came?
Does anyone have the modified results?

No, the mods were suppose to run following the last LM consi race, but with the storm coming in they put the LM main event in instead. Mods were cancelled and will be made up at a later date.

Actually started rain with 2 to go, Patterson had 10th place but slid up the track in turn 4 and spangler got by.
Loved the racing again, but man they need to run the show better next year.
First heat started after 9pm
They ran the race of champions and then wanted to run the first heat.......only problem is there were cars in the RoC that belong in the first heat, not much time to repair or turn the cars around.
Maybe start on time next year i.e. 7:30
Run the RoC
Then run the Mods then the late models.
I really wish the grandstand was fuller though. I hope he didn't take a loss, cause they have a great race tradition started there now. (besides the wood-tic)

one of the few complaints i have ever had with merritt is the show can become a bit long sometimes. i have went to races there on and off since 1980 and it is very rare to get out early. as far as the way the show was run i wasnt there. but from what everyone has said on here and other sites i still dont understand why they wouldnt have ran the latemodels first and tried to get them done before there was any threat of weather. i am not ripping on merritt by any stretch because it is BY FAR my favorite dirt track in michigan. looking forward to the wood tic next month always a great race.

Tim McCreadie was there??? Wow the Who 55 is something else. If my plans come true I want to be there in '09 in a mod. Maybe since they picked up the UMP sanction they could convince them to kick off the Summernationals with this race next year. I think that would be awesome, not that it isn't already cool. Have fun at the WoodTic and I'll see you in the fall time.
