Ok, this question may seem stupid to some but, consider my experience in a full bodied stock car. I was looking for some sort of "lead box" like I have welded to the outside left frame rail of my sportsman chassis. There is none on a modified. I know that I've got to get the car to 2,450#.........will it be pretty close after it's all put together or will I have to bolt a bunch of weight to it? How do you attach that weight? Does the rule "low and left" still apply to an asphalt mod?

You might not need any weight in that car. If you do, it won't be much. I think I had a cookiesheet of lead right in front of the seat on the floor. It was about 1/2 inch thick and weighed around 30# If I remember right. I might have kept it for the new car though.

You are slightly larger in build if I remember rolleyes.gif . I weigh about 170-175 in the summer months. Bone......now bone probably had to bolt on a chevy big block worth of lead in that thing!!!!!! lol I guess I'll have to see after it's all put back together what I'll need. God knows I have about 500# of lead laying around in my shop, so that won't be a prob!
