Last week me and Joe were pretty close down the straightaway, he could drive in the corner 2 cars harder. But i could come out 3 cars harder. I don't even let this stuff about my motor get to me. I think it's funny people that build a lead sled to "have fun with". take it so serius. I mean come on. I thought this car was suppose to be for spartan when we went and when you guys didn't race the late model. Now you guys are screaming at tech guys about my motor.

There is a boat load of cars with alot of motor out there. We all know this, its just they are not kicking everyones butt every week. Mike put the bullet in Chris's car I wont complain. If it techs it techs! Thats all that matters. You dont think they know that most of these cars have good lower ends? They have to realize they stand to lose 5-6 (minimum) cars if they pull pans. I dont think they are going to play that card. I just dont. Besides we all know that horsepower is in the heads and that is easy to tech. The steel lower ends are more about the duribility of the motor. Most of it is just as heavy in fact the rods in most cases are heavier. I got pretty heavy rods.

thing is. You don't go to the back. Once i get the new car figured out I will drive that. dont worry. not very many people in the top 5-10 have stock lower ends. Plus like 20 people have said on here. lower ends doNOT make power through a 2 inch exaust. heads and cam do. and what do ya know. they've already looked at my stuff. what a suprise.

Thing is.... your not happy. I thought this was just for fun between us. not going and telling on each other and making a big deal out of motor's. what happened to making the lead sled just for fun and running the late model. Thats what the deal was at the beggining of the year.

Plus ther isn't a car in the top ten that is completly legal. Including yours. but yet again you dont see me calling tech guys and telling them about your stuff. If i get beat then oh well, I tried and had fun doing it. Notice the key there is have fun. Try it one day. you'll see a whole new way of racing.

bottom line lonnie... the only thing i have illegal is my springs... which car doesn't ill be honest on here. your lower end don't help is that what your saying. what about the on/off switch type acceleration. you need to get your head out your a$$ and try to win legally. you have thee MOST illegal car in the LS at AC. I'm not going to lie... what about the eagle rotating assembly. I have all stock lower end with a good cam and decent heads. If your sooo good trade me damn motors and we'll see who can win every week. It's starting to look like a circus out there like the show is set before you even unload. Chris all I can tell you and I know its not going to make you feel any better is that my guess is 6-7 out of the top ten cars at AC are running something illegal in thier cars and I know you know this. This works GREAT at Flat Rock.

It also INCREASES CAR COUNTS.

And DECREASES the hard feeling, because equals are racing against equals and every body has chance to WIN their OWN feature!

Its cool to get the weight break though!

Roller cam was in motor when we bought it, learned how to drive, won a feature, changed it the next week. What else you got. HMM what about those pro shocks on your sled. You should have come up last night. Seems to run pretty good. If I can get up to the experience level to use it. I know Im faster than I was thats for sure. My last motor was a little tired and I've also had trans problems all season long. Im going to try to get out of work as early as possible to get some laps in. Lonnie had it going 3-400 more rpms than I had it going. My rookieness ya know!

How many cars does the lead sled class have? it seemed like last week they had almost 30.

I was not there last week usually about 20, but its been coming up every week.

Tony built my motor, and I think he did a nice job considering it took me 2 years to finaly get it done. I really think with the .410 lift rule and 2" exhaust the engine builder has to know something about cams for sure. Im glad I will be able to race with the guys Ive watched for the last couple of years, at least before too long. Thanks Joe for your help with my tranni! Too bad your not going to be around this weekend.

edelbrock discontinued the q-jet in 2005, even so they are a good source for parts, or you can also order them from the Gm dealer, choices are limited on what is still availible but the prices are pretty decent at the dealer.

Wow Arnie I really liked that 4x4 Quadrajet paper. I printed that bad boy off. Now Greg just has to do a review with me so I can better understand, but that article really helps.
