We are posting the Owosso Payout for the remainder of the season after Fast Track Promotion takes over operations for Owosso beginning July 5th.

Our mod purse has an anonymous sponsor that kicked in $100 dollars per mod feature to make it $600 to win. This sponsor has agreed to fund this
class for the rest of the season.

The payout can only grow as we gain more sponsor participation.

The payout will not go up or down based on any cars or gate numbers. It is our job to build our gate and our car count, not our drivers.

Heat race winners in every class will win $25 for first, $15 for second and $10 for third place.

We will be meeting with our drivers as soon as we are in operation to discuss rules, tech, tire pricing and other concerns that have been brought to my attention after meeting with various drivers and owners last Saturday.

The only race tire allowed to participate for 2008 will be the Hoosier 970.

Patrick, We are going to discuss at the drivers meeting the future of the class. With the tech issues that have been a sore spot for the 4 cylinder community we have to have them worked out before we are going to advertise a 4 cylinder purse.

Owosso has cars that have showed up and supported the class, and this is very much appreciated. However a comprehensive rules agreement must be clear before we can promote anything. This is why the payout is not posted for 4 cylinders at this time.

Jeff.. that's cool. Do you intend on having your FWD Mtg early in the day ? If you have it at like 2pm.. folks from other tracks could attend and still make it back for their races.

Gavin, Owosso has a fee of 35 dollar car -driver- slab- pit pass with no registration fee for the year additional. Every other pit pass is a plain 25 dollars for your crew or family, friends that may attend. If Throgmartin shows up with you then that of course is entirely another matter and we may have to call you into the trailer for some discussion. (this is sarcasm for people new to the discussion) They have a reservation fee for slabs that allowed people to use the same slab night after night all season, we will not be changing that because its something our regular guys may have already paid and we dont want to saddle them with any additional burden.. With the state of the way things were I dont think that was an issue before on if a slab would be available. Maybe someday all that would change- i believe there are close to 100 before you end up in the grass.

Pit and gate prices will remain the same - but we are going to be offering a senior citizen discount which is new.

Patrick, we may get together with the 4 cyl guys on an off night time just so scheduling is not an issue for everyone. We will be working through this in a short period of time. Thanks again for your interest. Jeff

Throgmartin in the pits? Yeah right, we keep guys like that a long long ways away from the cars. His job is up in the tower with you guys. Once the cars are put away we'll bring him down to hang out.

I've parked in the grass LOTS of times at Owosso, and if you guys are as good as i think you are I see no reason why people wont be parking the grass again.

I would be interested in helping Jeff and Rick spruce up the old girl!

I haven't been to the big "O" since they covered it with that asphalt stuff,,, but with all the great comments about the new owners, and the nice payout.. I think we will have to make a trip or two back. Sounds like a place to go on those off Kazoo weekends.

I lied,, I did run one show after it was covered,, it was a Tri-Sac show... And for you youngsters,, yes it was a long time ago.

Great news,i hope you guy's can turn around owosso as it is a great place to race 2 WIDE,Jeff with all that has dropped into your lap is the super race on or shall you postpone it to work on other track issues?

We are taking over on July 5th, so this weekends super show is still on by Bighaus.

We (Fast track Inc.) are going to just concentrate on the local classes for the rest of this season.

We did not think the right answer for the traveling series was for us to take over with just a couple weeks to properly promote them. It will be something that is a goal for the future though.

Supers are very much an important part of Owosso and we will be at work to ensure their future after Owosso has re established a solid consumer base.

Great pay scale you guys. Knowing you guys this list is not going to be another "promise" from the management that have burnt racers in the past. If Jeff and Rick say this is the payoff then you can bet your money that is what is going to be in the envelopes at the end of the night!!!!!
