THE 2008 SEASON WILL BE THE LAST FOR THE BROWN FAMILY AT M40 SPEEDWAY. WE HAVE MADE A FAMILY DECISION TO SELL THE TRACK AND MOVE ON TO NEW VENTURES. (GOLF, FISHING, RACING…)



THE 2008 SEASON WILL BE RUN IN ITS ENTIRETY, AS WEATHER PERMITS. WE WILL NOT BE RUNNING ANY ENDURO RACES HOWEVER, AS THE ENTRIES FOR THESE EVENTS ARE WAY DOWN. WE WILL CLOSE OUR FINAL SEASON ON SEPTEMBER 12 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 14TH, WHERE WILL BE THROWING THE BIGGEST RACING PARTY IN THE HISTORY OF THE TRACK, A WEEKEND TO SAY GOODBYE AND SEE SOME AMAZING RACING IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT FORMATS. REST ASSURED THAT WE WILL RUN AS SCHEDULED DESPITE ANY RUMORS THAT WILL BE FLOATING AROUND. WE OWE THIS TO ALL OF YOUR LOYAL SUPPORTERS AND WILL LIVE UP TO THAT COMMITMENT. I don't think the link works yet. Tomorrow when I see Steve, I will ask when it will be up. Sorry you can't come down. It should be a great show of Mods. We had over twenty both times last year. Plus the AVSS Super Sprints! Jeff Bloom holds the track record here at 10.45 seconds!! He thinks that a 9 second lap is acheivable since they widened the backstretch 8 feet. If anyone does turn a 9 second lap, I will post it on here. We will also be hosting the Michigan Legends Series this Friday night, June 27th. Plus the Michiana Vintage Racers will have their Vintage Hot Rods on display for eveyone to see. They will also turn a few hot laps too. Ron Verash will have his many, many photo albums on display covering the last 5 decades of racing stars! So come on down to M40 Speedway Friday june 27th for a night to remember.

Kevin, hopefully you can make the second show for USA Mods on August 22nd.

Roger, I'm almost 100% sure to make the next one,, Fridays are just a pain.. Hope to be at Kazoo right after the holiday, it has just been a pain in the butt spring/summer at the shop.. I may be down Friday, later just to see what is up with everything.. Hopefully someone with some deep pockets can take thing over.. I was there back in the ICAR days, but I've heard nothing but great things since the Brown's took over. I wish them well.

Roger,, why don't we talk Gary into buying it (might as well start that one) then he could run Friday and Saturday nights. Most of the guys are at both places anyway,and most of the Kazoo guys live that way not mine..Hell tell him I'll share the cost.
Also the first one that does go into the 9's I'll send them $100.. You just send me there name and address and I'll send them the $$$$$$ It ain't much, just 1/2 the tire they will burn up getting there.

I will definately get you their name and address! I certainly hope someone can make a 9 second lap! That would probably stand for a very long time in the record book.

If you make it down tomorrow, look me up. I will most likely be in the outer pits. That is my regular gig every Friday. I have my name on my shirt(so I don't forget who I am). Looking forward to meeting you.

Roger,,, I guess the storm has at least saved me $100 so far.. Now if I just can stay away from any more storm damage I'll win twice.. Sorry I would have loved to see a sub 10 second lap.
