Crystal Motor Speedway celebrates the Fourth on Thursday, July 3rd. The night is sponsored by Engine Pro of Grand Rapids and features all of the regular divisions plus fireworks. No points for the Late Models. Adult admission is $12 and kids 5-11 are $4. Gates open at 4:30 with racing at 7:30. The track offers lots of free primitive camping on the west side of the main parking lot. Racing resumes on Saturday night with the regular divisions and is sponsored by your area Auto Value Stores. Adult admission is $10 and kids 5-11 are $4. Pit passes are $25 each night. Gates open again at 4:30 and racing gets underway at 7:30PM. WOW! A great show on Thursday night! Brooke Ann Brasington takes her very first feature win in the Flinn Stock while Rick Stout nudged out a win over Steve Fairbanks at the line, Jeff Reist wins another Pro Stock feature as does Chris Verhaar in the Pro Trucks. Brennan Bowen triumphs in the IMCA Mods and Will Stanley begins to creep up on Mike Vandermark's Street Stock win record as he records yet another win.

Big V, it was Jimmy Fairbanks that Rick just edged out on Thursday. Big brother Steve wasn't even at the track Thursday.

He takes the info from what I said, so I must have have been announcing the same one...I know I started getting messed up with the names on Saturday!! Did Jimmy say why he lost that race? Was there any other reason other than he got beat?

We were there on thurs. and it was one of the best late model features i have seen in awhile.Hats off to all the drivers,and Ron and his staff,The fireworks rocked.P.S. I also liked the front decal on Jimmy Fairbanks car that said Chevette thought that was pretty cool.

I couldn't believe how fast Rick caught him. I was watching Rich Neiser come from 18th to 4th, then I see the white flag and Rick is making his move for the lead.

I mean come on, he's driving a PURPLE car!!! And, yes I totally got to pick out the color of the car this year.... can you tell???? Like I said it happens all the time. Jimmy had a great time racing out there over the weekend!

Russell, yeah, we had fun with the "model" of the car this year, he wanted to do Pinto, but we don't run Ford motors. Glad you noticed it!
