Hey, does anyone else think it's odd that Dixie Motor Speedway is charging $1.25 MORE for advance tickets for the Eve of Destruction this weekend? I've never heard of that before, usually it is CHEAPER to buy in advance.

I'm probably going to bite the bullet and do it (if we can order by phone) because I can't be there at 4pm when the gates open and I don't want to drive all the way to Birch Run to be turned away, but I just think it's silly to charge more for advance orders.

What do you guys think?

According to what I read on there the orders had to be in by July 1..rj

The advnace tickets for 1.25 more gets you in a hour early to get seats and i do believe you can go in the pits also, not sure on that but i do no it gets you in a hour early. Thats worth it 2 me so i dont have to fight people for good seats ill be able to get there early and pick exactly where i wanna sit.

I would assume they would be held at the track in some sort of "Will-Call" window. If you've been to a Eve of Destruction, you'll know the benefits of paying that extra 1.25 if you get in a hour early.... good luck finding a comfortable "leftover" seat.

I would think buying them in advance means using a credit card and sending them in the mail, thus causing a handling fee or something similar. Or are they holding them at the track?

There is a will call according to Mike on the radio yesterday.

Yes they are holding your tickets at the track you can pick them up an hr early and go in and get your seat. As far as i no its always been this date.
