I went to Oakshade last night for the first time and I really enjoyed it, the racing was good, there were a ton of cars and they kept the show moving along well. Lots of side by side racing with the wide track. I will definitely be back sometime soon! Also kudos to the #29 in the Sportsman division who did a complete 360 with traffic all around and then somehow pointed the car straight and continued on without missing a beat! Great driving!

Thanks to all the people that put on the races and the fireworks.

Anybody have a total car count? It has been a while since I saw that many cars at one track.

P.S. The announcer was good too!!!

We had 36 mods and 34 LM's last night at Crystal. 130 total I think. It's been pretty consistant.

Yeah Cyrstal is awesome too! I try to get over there whenever I am up that way. Its definitely the best dirt track in Michigan in my opinion.

i would have to agree that crystal is now the premier dirt track in michigan. for a long time i think merritt would have been my pick with regularly having 50-60 mods and 50 late models years back. don't forget this coming saturday at oakshade is the final night of the ump summer nationals; the points battle is pretty close between dennis erb and brian shirley, jeep i believe is in fourth. the car count should be loaded with the event paying 10 grand to win.

Sorry for the late directions. Oakshade is amazing. Looking at it from the outside the track seems to be a total dump but once you get in you will see some of the best racing ever. Super wide turns allows for 4 and 5 wide all night long. Combine that with a bunch of talented regulars in fast cars makes for a great night. If you are in the Ohio area again check out Attica. It's about a 45 minutes south of Cedar Point. 410 sprints, 305 sprints, and Late Models EVERY NIGHT. The entire facility is beautiful!
