well i just got back from my mini racing vacation thru ohio and boy what a 3 nights it was. went to muskingum county thursday for the lucas oil latemodel race and it rained hard until 7:30 AND THEY STILL GOT THE PROGRAM IN!! the promotor told me he was going to get this show in one way or another and he wasnt kidding. they didnt even start qualifying til 10:30 after they got the track prepped and the first race didnt start until 11:40 pm. the races were excellent and i give all the credit in the world to the owner for getting the show in. the races finally ended around 4:20 friday morning and surprisingly there were a ton of people that stuck around. i also will say that i can see where donnie moran spent the million he won at eldora a few years back. he has a beautiful house and a HUGE shop about a 1/4 mile from the race track. it looked more like a nascar shop than your normal everyday race shop. also went to raceway 7 up near the ohio/pennsylvania border friday night and they had over 150 cars in the pits and the races were good to.we finally got to see a crate dirt latemodel race and it was actually pretty entertaining. our last stop was fremont speedway for a full night of sprint car racing as they had about 80 410 and 305 sprints and the races there were very good as usual. i hope to make it down there later in the year for another 3 day trip. if anyone ever gets a chance to go to some of the tracks down there i highly recommend it as it is a whole different world that what we see up here in michigan.

Wasn't Donnie Moron the one who thought Oakshade was too dangerous to run on last year at the Summer Nationals finale because they still raced after it rained and the track was super tacky?

no that was dennis erb and don o'neal. they both loaded up and left and said they were locked into 1st and 2nd place in the points so they went home. that race ended at about 3:30am also.
