I know for a lot of people down south and to the west today was a rough day. I just wanted to throw a side note up here to let people know that today was the 1 year for when we lost Lee Anderson. I just wanted to let everyone know and himself reading from above that I miss seeing him at the track and certainly miss that lime #18 laying down blazing fast lap times at tracks across this very state of ours.

There are a lot of people who miss him, and I'm included in that list..

RIP #18!

Kyle:

Thank you for remembering.

From a kid knocking around on dirt bikes to the teen who befriended my kids to the adult who became like a nephew to me,
Lee was an amazing and talented individual. I have many fond memories of him and miss talking with him. I still have his cell phone number on my phone and simply haven't the heart to take it out.

It's a constant reminder of how fragile life is, how quick it can be over but more importantly it reminds me of a kid who touched my families lives and hearts. Even as young as he was, he still reminded me to smile, laugh and to have patience in the face of adversity.

Until the next time we meet up LeeRoy, keep racing and keep smiling.

Yes Thanks Kyle for posting this. I too remember Lee very fondly as being one of the nicest persons I have ever met. It was difficult for me as I remembered that M40 Speedway was the last track Lee raced at. It was last year at the 2nd Annual Late Model Jones. And then a couple days later I heard the news of his passing.

He certainly made an impact on me, and I miss seeing him too.

I did want to point something out here.

For those who didn't know Lee or never had the chance to meet him, go back and look at the picture of him above.

That folks is the true Lee Anderson. He had a smile that lit up a room, a laugh that brought joy to you and a calmness that reminds you that
there are great people in this world.

I really like that photo because its the one photo that truly depicts Lee and his personality.

We too remember Lee very well and still at times expect to see him at the track. His picture is proudly displayed with many others behind the bar at the Speedway bar and grill where Lee loved to talk racing and have a cold one after the races. See Ya!
