When plugging my 7.2 volt battery pack into my rc car it spins the rear tires full throttle in reverse it does not react to the controller whatsoever. I did put a new circuit board in it not too long ago and never did get it to run right. As far as I can tell all the wires are to the right spots I do have the diagram.
Any Suggestions?

yeah I have such an adjustment and it did not phase it I did find that I had a faulty on/off switch so I cut wires and spliced and got nowhere also had a bad ground wire but still not getting power to the front wheels to turn. Hate to give up on this car but it is so outdated anyway I thought it was fast then figured out the metric conversion to only 15-16 mph or so. I am looking at buying a new one that goes about 60-70 and also runs on nitro don't know too much about them just looking for a little hobby while taking a break from racing. Thank's for the insight Vids

There is usually a reverser switch on the radio transmitter, or setup of the speed control.

Also some cars (I think) have the motor installed in a way that requires wiring it backwards.

If you are near Lansing take it to Just for Fun Hobbies in Frandor. Or if you want, get it to me at Spartan and I could mess with it for you. There's lots of members here that could help depending on your location.

I live in the Owendale area up in the thumb. If I get down that way I will look you up as I would like to get it running. It was my first decent rc car. I was screwing with the wires last night and seemed to get it to stop going in reverse full throttle whe the 7.2 battery pack is connected. For some reason the remote does not seem to control the car whatsoever. I am not very knowledgeable about rc cars but thought I would play with it. Thanks again for the help and the offer to check it out.

What brand of car is it? Does it have an electronic speed controller or a mechanical speed controller?

It is a Radio Shack Golden Arrow buggy and I am not sure about the speed control don't know a lot about them how can I tell?
