A week from this Saturday (July 26th) Racing Lawn Tractors will be making their debut show on the 1/8 mile dirt track located inside the historic 3/8 mile asphalt configuration.

There is stock all the way up to full blown modified competition.

We wanted to make it conditional on them cutting our lawn for the weekend, but we dont have that detail worked out yet.

We just purchased a riding lawn mower of our own. Any idea what one has to do to be legal to race with these guys?

Chris, If it does not have a mouse and a keyboard were not sure if your license applies. Rick also says that we dont want you getting bit by the racing bug- we need ya doing our net stuff!

i whent to lawn mower racing there is a track by me and i tell u what i will never leave lawn mower racing to go back to circle track i will race some sat circle track but will all ways race my tactor on sun

I have a friend that races over in Maple Rapids once a month, they do it for charity.
He will be over next weekend and I guess some of the group from over there are coming to race!!!

If the lawn mower racers need another venue to race at, I have two acres of lawn that could use a good mowing.

can i bring my lawn mower and give it shot??? It is pretty fast. It is a craftsman push mower but it is self propelled. I was thinking of changing the cam and buying some lighter sneakers.

Remember the infamous lawn mower races at the country house??? Nothing like two modified drivers kids racing lawn mowers around a swimming pool.

:3gears:Hey yall - I have a really quick mower. Wouldn't wanna dominate that race with it cause my boss would then find out that I borrowed it for the BIG O. If I can sneak it out for this occasion, Jeff, ya gotta promise not to tell Rick.
Only one problem, Russ is my mechanic and when I inquired about a replacement blade for this baby, he brought in two Gillette quick release blades. Oh well, when ya pay peanuts ya get monkeys!

Although the jokes are funny, I just gave up lawnmower racing after 5 years. This is a pretty serious sport for alot of guys and gals in michigan. There are about 6 or 7 of us from Saginaw who run in the national sanctioned races you see on SPEED and ESPN.. They may want to put a show on for you guys in owosso. Top speeds from 45 to 70 depending on the class.
