The time is drawing nearer,
Six days away.
I will be at Spartan Friday night if anyone has anything for the event, and of course, at Springport all day Saturday.
Things are coming together.
I wish to Thank Owosso Speedway for considering this event in their scheduling of modified racing.
Clearly, they did not have to do what they did, but I thank them for their consideration of this long planned event. The Miracles and Parish's are fine people who will do well.
For those who wanted to run their mod's that night at R&R, but were suddenly caught in the middle, it cleared things up very well.
For those who want to run their mod July 26th, clearly R&R IV is the race to be at.
And yes, it is a race, with four classes, the mod's being the headliner. 50 laps, and right now, $620 in first place money, $450 for second and $300 for third.
And a whole lot of contingency money also.
You can go racing, yes real racing, that night, and get a bonus, a party in the pits, where as a driver, you can meet and greet and party and enjoy yourself with all of those fans that cheer for you in the stands every week.
Everyone seems to ask about and worry about our sport and its survivability.
R&R IV and you meeting those fans and making a connection with them might help a little. Maybe it won't help at all, but the intent behind it was for us as drivers to meet and spend some time with the fans in a relaxed, fun setting, and share some mid summer's night time fun, and good food.
What more could a driver ask for, (yeah, I know, more money, we are trying)
have a good day,
schinde
