16 year old Jeff Finley used the home track advantage and won the “Lipari Foods 75 Presented by Penske Racing Shocks” SUPERPRO Series feature race Friday at Spartan Speedway in Mason, Michigan.

A pair of 15 year olds, Zion Schaub and Matt Hall brought the field to the green with Hall grabbing the early lead. 2007 champion Tommy Cook moved around Hall for the top spot on lap 16 and current point leader Rick Everidge passed Cook for the point on lap 26. Seventh starting Finley got by Cook on lap 27 and set his sights on Everidge. On lap 32, Finley grabbed the top spot and never looked back. Everidge held on for second after a thirty lap battle with 2005 champ Rob Buckley. Leading rookie contender Joe Fadke finished fourth, Tommy Cook was fifth followed by his brother Al Cook, Jr., Derek Bischak, Kevin Todd, Hall and Schaub.

Finley captured the ARP - Corrigan Oil Fast Qualifier Award with a lap of 13.228 around the ¼ mile oval. Bischak was the All Star Performance - Lane Automotive Hard Charger of the Race, Colin Toland was awarded the Aluminum Racing Products Hard Luck Award and Hall was the winner of the Penske Racing Shocks “Shocking Move of the Race.”

The SUPERPRO Series moves on to Baer Field Speedway in Ft. Wayne, Indiana for the running of the “International Gold Cup 100”, on Friday, August 8. It is biggest event of the season for the SUPERPRO competitors. For more information, go to the web at www.superproracing.com or www.baerfieldspeedway.com.
