Well we start off this weeks article with bad news coming out of Toledo Speedway friday night. As all of you know already 46 yr old Terry Gibson was killed in a msa supermodified heat race. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Gibson family.God speed Terry Gibson. Also out of Toledo the champions program is back with open invitations to track champions and outlaw series champs with 200 cash and a free entry to the 20th edition of the Glass City 200.This is offered to every outlaw track champion if he doesn't except then they go to the next guy in line until someone excepts. It'll be real interesting to see who excepts the challenge and who doesn't unsure.gif Also i didn't see Berlin on the list? i know why they got season championships that night that just angryfire.gif me off also noticed Plymouth and New Paris weren't on the list.Well on friday we went to the Cloverleaf speedway reunion at the Good ole Daze tavern in Parma oh.It is a yearly event but i haven't attended it in a few years.and it was good to see some of the hero's when i was growing up.Some in attendence included Bud Middaugh,Jeep Iuobucci,Ron Fike,Denny Mazko,Tom Marek,Mike Tiffe,Terry Steinman, and a ton more that i can't even remember. The wife and i along with racing Jimmy Williams were on hand and Tina won 2 door prizes also. On saturday my good friend Dave and i headed east to Lake Erie speedway for 150 lap late model race.We were delayed shortly for a brief shower there were alot of divisions on hand but the management needs to be comended they just kept lining up the heat races and getting one race over and getting the next race started.I have said before this is awesome facility and a really state of the art short track with numerous concessions and and a good 2 groove race track. They had 29 late models including a surprise visit from Scott Baker.George Skora won the race over Will Thomas,Bob Weber,Glenn Gault jr. and Rick Boyer was 5th.Baker finished 15th.Congratulations to Scott Hantz for winning the 150 lap cra race at the Nashville Motorplex.Hantz was followed by Ryan Crane,Rick Turner,Eddie Hoffman, and Mitch Cobb. Also congratulations to John Grega for winning the Dixie Cup Race. Also to Chris Anthony for winning the 50 lapper at Berlin.I see Kazoo,Flat Rock,Owosso all lost to Mother nature. That's it for now next up could be Flat Rock the Stan Yee 150 memorial with alot of cash on the line See ya around the asphalt
